Further Exploring the TRRAP Genotype–Phenotype Correlations: Report of Three New Patients With A Focus on Skeletal Anomalies

open access: yesClinical Genetics, EarlyView.
We report on the clinical characteristics of three new patients with pathogenic TRRAP variants expanding the syndrome's phenotype. In order to investigate the TRRAP potential involvement in skeletal development, osteoclastogenesis in Patient 1 was evaluated and TRRAP expression in osteoclasts and osteoblasts were analyzed.

Tissue plasminogen activator modified thromboelastography identifies fibrinolysis resistance in dogs with immune-mediated hemolytic anemia

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
IntroductionImmune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) is an important immunologic disorder in dogs that is associated with high mortality rates, frequently due to thromboembolism.

Chromatin: a tunable spring at work inside chromosomes

open access: yes, 2001
This paper focuses on mechanical aspects of chromatin biological functioning. Within a basic geometric modeling of the chromatin assembly, we give for the first time the complete set of elastic constants (twist and bend persistence lengths, stretch ...

Membraneless Organelles and Phase Separation in Tumours: Mechanisms and Prospects

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
The Salient and Novel Findings: This article summarises the latest research advancements in phase separation within tumours, with a particular focus on the role and molecular mechanisms of liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) in tumour progression.

The two-angle model and the phase diagram for Chromatin

open access: yes, 2005
We have studied the phase diagram for chromatin within the framework of the two-angle model. Rather than improving existing models with finer details our main focus of the work is getting mathematically rigorous results on the structure, especially on ...

Role of Histone Deacetylase and Inhibitors in Cardiovascular Diseases

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
HDACs play an important role in the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases, such as myocardial hypertrophy, hypertension, and atherosclerosis. HDAC inhibitors have broad prospects for the treatment of CVD, and different HDAC subtypes can act through different mechanisms.

Pathogenic variants in chromatin‐related genes: Linking immune dysregulation to neuroregression and acute neuropsychiatric disorders

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.
Chromatin machinery influences how DNA is ‘wrapped’ around histones in the nucleosome of immune and brain cells. Plain language summary: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/dmcn.16299 Abstract We report eight children with de novo pathogenic DNA variants in chromatin‐related genes: MORC2, CHD7, KANSL1, KMT2D, ZMYND11, HIST1HIE, EP300, and KMT2B.
