Liver Stiffness Characterization of OGTLKO Mouse Model of Progressive Liver Fibrosis
Objectives O‐GlcNAcylation plays a key regulatory role in hepatic physiology, and its disruption leads to fibrosis in liver‐specific OGT knockout mice (OGTLKO), making this model valuable for studying advanced metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH).

Thio-linked UDP-peptide conjugates as O-GlcNAc transferase inhibitors [PDF]
O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) is an essential glycosyltransferase that installs the O-GlcNAc post-translational modification on the nucleocytoplasmic proteome. We report the development of S-linked UDP–peptide conjugates as potent bisubstrate OGT inhibitors.

Interplay of RNA m6A/m1A/m5C/m7G/ψ Regulators Predicting the Prognosis of Pancreatic Cancer
In this study, we comprehensively analyze the 64 RNA modification regulators, including 24 m6A regulators, 13 m1A regulators, 12 m5C regulators, 9 m7G regulators, and 12 pseudouridine regulators in pancreatic cancer in TCGA, GTEx, and HPA databases. We investigate their RNA and protein expression, their association with patients' clinical significance,

High fat diet attenuates the anticontractile activity of aortic PVAT via a mechanism involving AMPK and reduced adiponectin secretion [PDF]
Background and aim: Perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) positively regulates vascular function through production of factors such as adiponectin but this effect is attenuated in obesity.

This review highlights mitochondrial dysfunction as a central driver of pancreatic β cell failure in diabetes, caused by disrupted mitochondrial quality control (MQC), oxidative stress, and impaired organelle communication. Emerging therapies, such as DRAK2 inhibitors and metabolic reprogramming agents, show promise in restoring β cell function by ...

Hcfc1 and Ogt Mediate Zebrafish CNS Regeneration Through Hippo/Yap Signalling
This work identifies Hcfc1 and Ogt as key regulators of zebrafish CNS regeneration through modulation of Hippo/Yap signalling. Loss of Hcfc1 or Ogt activity inhibition impairs regeneration, which is restored by Yap overexpression, revealing a new regulatory axis that enhances CNS regenerative capacity.

Liver X receptor regulates hepatic nuclear O-GlcNAc signaling and carbohydrate responsive element-binding protein activity [PDF]
Liver X receptor (LXR)α and LXRβ play key roles in hepatic de novo lipogenesis through their regulation of lipogenic genes, including sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP)-1c and carbohydrate responsive element-binding protein (ChREBP).

Nutrient sensing, signal transduction and immune responses [PDF]
Most cells in the body have a constant supply of nutrients, which are required to sustain cellular metabolism and functions. In contrast, cells of the immune system can encounter conditions with a limited nutrient supply during the course of an immune ...

O-Glcnacylation Is Essential for Erythropoiesis
Understanding the molecular mechanisms of erythropoiesis is critical for treating anemia and other hematopoietic diseases, which affect roughly 3 million Americans and 28% of the global population. The role of post-translational modification (PTM) of proteins in regulating developmental and differentiation processes is understudied, but recently we ...
