The Effects of non-Thermal Processing on Carotenoids in Orange Juice
New non-thermal technologies are emerging, such as pulsed electric fields (PEF) and high hydrostatic pressure (HHP), in order to provide a response to the need for greater nutritional and sensory quality in some manufactured foods in which the ...

On the contribution of PRIDE-JUICE to Jovian system ephemerides [PDF]
The JUICE mission will perform detailed measurements of the properties of the Galilean moons, with a nominal in-system science-mission duration of about 3.5 years. Using both the radio tracking data, and (Earth- and JUICE-based) optical astrometry, the dynamics of the Galilean moons will be measured to unprecedented accuracy.

Big Data links from Climate to Commodity Production Forecasts and Risk Management [PDF]
Frozen concentrated orange juice (FCOJ) is a commodity traded in the International Commodity Exchange. The FCOJ future price volatility is high because the world's orange production is concentrated in a few places, which results in extreme sensitivity to weather and disease. Most of the oranges produced in the United States are from Florida. The United

The development of hydrogel‐impregnated robust interlocking nano connector (HiRINC) aims to address stent migration by improving tissue adhesion and reducing mechanical mismatch in self‐expandable metallic stents (SEMSs). The network‐like porous layer of HiRINC enhances adhesion and energy dissipation, demonstrates through ex vivo and in vivo tests ...

User Activity Detection and Channel Estimation of Spatially Correlated Channels via AMP in Massive MTC [PDF]
This paper addresses the problem of joint user identification and channel estimation (JUICE) for grant-free access in massive machine-type communications (mMTC). We consider the JUICE under a spatially correlated fading channel model as that reflects the main characteristics of the practical multiple-input multiple-output channels.

The Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Coatings Using Food‐Grade Wax Dispersions
A method is presented for creating superhydrophobic materials using a simple mixture of food‐grade wax and solvent. By varying the solubility and dispersibility of the wax as the solvent is replaced, superhydrophobic coatings can be achieved on different substrates using spray coating.

Development of high accurate family-use digital refractometer based on CMOS [PDF]
This study aims to develop a low-cost refractometer for measuring the sucrose content of fruit juice, which is an important factor affecting human health. While laboratory-grade refractometers are expensive and unsuitable for personal use, existing low-cost commercial options lack stability and accuracy.
