Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Role of justice theory in explaining alliance negotiations, The [PDF]

open access: yes
We report data from a revelatory qualitative case study of a failed attempt to negotiate an international joint venture agreement. We analyze issues of justice and the role that their occurrence in the course of the negotiations might have played in this

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Female Perceptions of Organizational Justice

open access: yesGender, Work & Organization, 2010
This study examines women's conceptualization of the pervasive construct of organizational justice. A comprehensive four factor model was used to represent organizational justice while outcome variables were the important employee attitudes of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intentions. Structural equation modelling was used to

Resolving the Cu(bdc) Conundrum: Identifying Non‐Porous Packing of Prototypical Coordination‐Network Thin Films Combining Advanced Diffraction Techniques and Computational Modelling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Toward Fast Proton Shuttling in Acidic Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review establishes proton transfer dynamics as a descriptor governing acidic OER activity, moving beyond the kinetic constraints derived from the proton coupled electron transfer. We discuss how deprotonation governs classical mechanisms, including adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM), lattice oxygen mechanism (LOM) and oxide path mechanism (OPM ...
