Cnu, a Novel oriC-Binding Protein of Escherichia coli
We have found, using a newly developed genetic method, a protein (named Cnu, for oriC-binding nucleoid-associated) that binds to a specific 26-base-pair sequence (named cnb) in the origin of replication of Escherichia coli, oriC.

Comparative Insights and Overlooked Factors of Interphase Chemistry in Alkali Metal‐Ion Batteries
This review presents a comparative analysis of Li‐, Na‐, and K‐ion batteries, focusing on the critical role of electrode–electrolyte interphases. It especially highlights overlooked aspects such as SEI/CEI misconceptions, binder effects, and self‐discharge relevance, emphasizing the limitations of current understanding and offering strategies for ...

The DnaA Cycle in Escherichia coli: Activation, Function and Inactivation of the Initiator Protein
This review summarizes the mechanisms of the initiator protein DnaA in replication initiation and its regulation in Escherichia coli. The chromosomal origin (oriC) DNA is unwound by the replication initiation complex to allow loading of DnaB helicases ...

Topological Properties of International Commodity Market: How Uncertainty Affects the Linkages?
ABSTRACT The study aims to explore the network topology of the international commodity market by examining the interconnections among 21 commodity futures across various categories, including energy, precious and industrial metals, and agriculture. We analyze the market structure of these commodity futures under both low and high uncertainty conditions

ABSTRACT Australian local governments are facing intensifying pressures to respond to worsening visible homelessness. This paper presents one of the first national studies on how local governments are responding to these pressures, and the first since the onset of the post‐pandemic housing crisis.

Cooperation between two modes for DNA replication initiation in the archaeon Thermococcus barophilus
The mechanisms underpinning the replication of genomic DNA have recently been challenged in Archaea. Indeed, the lack of origin of replication has no deleterious effect on growth, suggesting that replication initiation relies on homologous recombination.
