A Novel Synthesis of the Oxazolidinone Antithrombotic Agent Rivaroxaban
A facile synthetic route of rivaroxaban has been developed. Using commercially available (R)-epichlorohydrin and bromobenzene as the starting materials, rivaroxaban was obtained in 39% overall yield using a Goldberg coupling as the key step.
