Deciphering the Chemotherapeutic Mechanism of Ferulic Acid: Insight Into the Role Against Multiple Human Cancers

open access: yesCancer Innovation, Volume 5, Issue 2, April 2026.
Ferulic acid (FA), a naturally occurring compound, exhibits anticancer activity against 16 cancer types through multiple molecular pathways. Its enhanced delivery via nanoformulations and synergistic effects with other therapies suggest FA as a promising, food‐based adjunct for cancer symptom control until fully approved pharmaceutical options are ...

PAMAM dendrimer for mitigating humic foulant

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2012
Poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers have been established as efficient ligands for the removal of humic acid (HA) foulant, based upon electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions, as well as hydrogen bonding. This proof-of-concept study indicates the broad utility of dendritic nanotechnology for water treatment and environmental applications.

Molecular modelling of dendrimers for nanoscale applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Dendrimers are well defined, highly branched macromolecules that radiate from a central core and are synthesized through a stepwise, repetitive reaction sequence that guarantees complete shells for each generation, leading to polymers that are ...

Polyamidoamine dendrimer impairs mitochondrial oxidation in brain tissue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background: The potential nanocarrier polyamidoamine (PAMAM) generation 5 (G5-NH2) dendrimer has been shown to evoke lasting neuronal depolarization and cell death in a concentration-dependent manner. In this study we explored the early progression of G5-

Organic Nanoparticles in Food Systems as Antimicrobial Agents: Synthesis Strategies, Functional Properties, and Biofilm Inhibition Mechanisms

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
Organic nanoparticles (ONPs) derived from biopolymers provide sustainable antimicrobial platforms with tunable physicochemical properties. By enabling controlled delivery of bioactive compounds, ONPs disrupt microbial membranes, induce oxidative stress, and inhibit quorum sensing.

Potential Use of Folate-polyethylene glycol (PEG)-Appended Dendrimer (G3) Conjugate with alpha-Cyclodextrin as DNA Carriers to Tumor Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We previously reported that polyamidoamine STARBURST dendrimer (generation 3, G3) (dendrimer) conjugate with alpha-cyclodextrin (alpha-CyD) having an average degree of substitution of 2.4 of alpha-CyD (alpha-CDE) provided remarkable aspects as novel ...

Bolstering cholesteryl ester hydrolysis in liver: A hepatocyte-targeting gene delivery strategy for potential alleviation of atherosclerosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Current atherosclerosis treatment strategies primarily focus on limiting further cholesteryl esters (CE) accumulation by reducing endogenous synthesis of cholesterol in the liver.
