Neuro-fuzzy control for artificial pancreas: in silico development and validation
Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DMT1) is currently one of the most harmful diseases that aect people of any age, including children from birth. Exogenous insulin injections remain the most common treatment for these patients, however, it is not the optimal one.

Integrated multi‐omic profiling maps the gene‐regulatory landscape of the coelomic mesothelium across heart, lung, and pancreas. A cardiac‐restricted regulatory program is uncovered in which TBX20 activates heart mesothelial (epicardial) cis‐regulatory elements, while MAF emerges as a conserved regulator of mesothelial identity.

The artificial pancreas: From logic to life [PDF]
In this thesis we investigated the efficacy of real-life use of an artificial pancreas starting with use of these systems in a hotel setting and finally 24/7 long-term use at home.

Safety of artificial pancreas in hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery: A prospective study
Background: An artificial pancreas (AP) is useful for intensive insulin treatment (IIT). In this study, the safety and efficacy of an AP in the perioperative period of highly invasive hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery (HBPS) was validated.

In silico validation of a customizable fully-autonomous artificial pancreas with coordinated insulin, glucagon and rescue carbohydrates [PDF]
[EN] Artificial pancreas systems should be designed considering different patient profiles, which is challenging from a control theory perspective. In this paper, a flexible-hybrid dual-hormone control algorithm for an artificial pancreas is proposed ...

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

Leveraging Macrophage Metabolic Reprogramming for Enhanced Anti‐Tumor Immunity
Tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) are key regulators of the tumor microenvironment (TME), with their metabolic states playing a critical role in tumor progression or regression. This review summarizes current understanding of TAM metabolic plasticity alongside cutting‐edge bioengineering innovations, outlining a roadmap for transforming the ...
