Improvement of Biodegradable Biocide’s Activity of Peroxyacetic Acid Basis Using Surfactants: Characterization and Stability [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2015
This paper deals with the study of the kinetics decomposition reaction of the peroxyacetic acid under influence of surfactant additives. The peroxyacetic acid shows a decomposition rate of 1.70 × 10−3 h−1 and its activation energy is 66 kJ mol−1.

Topic: Continuous Enzymatic Peracids Synthesis in Pickering Emulsions: Influence of Nanoparticles Modification, Aqueous Phase Composition and Operational Parameters. [PDF]

open access: yesEng Life Sci
ABSTRACT The lipase‐catalyzed oxidative functionalization of alkenes in Pickering emulsions (PE) offers a green and efficient alternative to conventional processes involving hazardous oxidants. Other investigated reaction media used for this alternative green pathway still suffer from enzyme deactivation and /or low specific reaction rate which limits ...

Relative resistance of Salmonella serotypes (Typhimurium, Infantis, and Reading) to peroxyacetic acid on chicken wings [PDF]

open access: yesPoultry Science
: Peroxyacetic acid (PAA) is widely used as an antimicrobial in poultry processing. Recent salmonellosis outbreaks caused by Salmonella Infantis (SI) from chicken products and Salmonella Reading (SR) from turkey products have raised concerns about their ...

Light-Gated Thermal Domains in Nano-Lanterns: Confined Heat Hotspots Sparks Electron Localization for Water Purification. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
A pore heat‐confined hollow porous canbon nanosphere catalyst is synthesized, with superior photo‐induced heat/redox response, revolutionizing peroxyacetic acid (PAA) activation for sustainable water purification. It overcomes traditional thermal PAA oxidation's energy inefficiency, enabling rapid pollutant degradation with a rate constant 11 times ...
