Risk factors for pelvic girdle pain postpartum and pregnancy related low back pain postpartum:a systematic review and meta-analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Background: Although pelvic girdle pain postpartum and pregnancy related low back pain postpartum (combined and named PGPP in this study) have a natural favourable course, there is a subgroup of women who have persistent complaints. The objective of this

Using lipidomics to reveal details of lipid accumulation in developing Siberian apricot (Prunus sibirica L.) seed kernels

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 12, Issue 7, Page 539-552, July 2020., 2020
This is the first report on lipidomics analysis of major lipids involved in triacylglycerol (TAG) biosynthesis during seed development in woody oilseed plants. The lipidomics results showed quite distinct molecular species distribution in phosphatidic acid, diacylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidyl‐ethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and TAG ...

An essential role for (p)ppGpp in the integration of stress tolerance, peptide signaling and competence development in Streptococcus mutans

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2016
The microbes that inhabit the human oral cavity are subjected to constant fluctuations in their environment. To overcome these challenges and gain a competitive advantage, oral streptococci employ numerous adaptive strategies, many of which appear to be

RelQ-mediated alarmone signalling regulates growth, stress-induced biofilm formation and spore accumulation in Clostridioides difficile. [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiology (Reading)
The bacterial stringent response (SR) is a conserved transcriptional reprogramming pathway mediated by the nucleotide signalling alarmones, (pp)pGpp.

V0/[S] plots used to calculate enzymatic kinetic parameters for (pp)pGpp-stimulated (pp)pGpp-synthesis activities of Sa-RelQ.

open access: yes, 2019
Panels A−I show plots of rate of (pp)pGpp synthesis (V0; Y-axis, in units of μM / minute) versus GTP/GDP/GMP substrate concentration ([S]; X-axis; in micromolar units), for sets of assays performed to calculate the enzymatic kinetic parameters for the Sa-

A Typology of Malian Farming Households

open access: yesJournal of International Development, Volume 37, Issue 6, Page 1210-1239, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Effective agricultural and rural development policies require a solid understanding of similarities and differences among farm systems. However, in many developing regions, the complexity and diversity of these systems are not well documented yet. In response, this study is aimed at developing a typology of Malian farming households.

Characterization of Drought‐Tolerant Bacterial Strain From Semiarid Soil of Kenya for Plant Growth Promotion and Drought Stress Amelioration

open access: yesInternational Journal of Agronomy, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Worldwide, drought significantly impacts crop output and agricultural productivity. To mitigate this, eco‐efficient methods to enhance plant growth under drought stress are essential. This study isolated 30 morphologically distinct bacterial strains from the maize rhizosphere in drought‐stressed conditions in Makueni County, Kenya.

Reprogramming Metabolic Flux in Escherichia Coli to Enhance Chondroitin Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 10, March 13, 2024.
In this study, metabolic flux is systematically reprogrammed to build an efficient microbial cell factory for chondroitin production by regulating flux size, flux direction, and flux rate using static valve, dynamic positive valve, and dynamic negative valve. It offers a new insight for synthesizing other valuable chemicals.
