Going viral − Virus‐targeting nanobodies for research, diagnostics and therapy
The increasing prevalence of viral diseases represents a major threat for global human health. Nanobodies, small binding fragments derived from camelid heavy‐chain antibodies, offer versatile tools for viral research, diagnostics, and antiviral therapy.

Experimental evolution of UV resistance in a phage
The dsDNA bacteriophage T7 was subjected to 30 cycles of lethal ultraviolet light (UV) exposure to select increased resistance to UV. The exposure effected a 0.9999 kill of the ancestral population, and survival of the ending population was nearly 50-fold improved. At the end point, a 2.1 kb deletion of early genes and three substitutions in structural-

Combating antibiotic resistance in a one health context: a plethora of frontiers
One of the most significant medical advancements of the 20th century was the discovery of antibiotics, which continue to play a vital tool in the treatment and prevention of diseases in humans and animals. However, the imprudent use of antibiotics in all

Predictable Molecular Adaptation of Coevolving Enterococcus faecium and Lytic Phage EfV12-phi1
Bacteriophages are highly abundant in human microbiota where they coevolve with resident bacteria. Phage predation can drive the evolution of bacterial resistance, which can then drive reciprocal evolution in the phage to overcome that resistance.

LVRF (lymphatic and vascular resistance factor) is a VEGFA splice variant upregulated in response to anti‐angiogenic therapy that fosters tumor adaptation through enhanced vascularization, lymphangiogenesis, and metastatic dissemination. Targeting LVRF with fully human neutralizing antibodies disrupts these processes and limits resistant tumor growth ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

An amphiphilic GOx nanoamphizyme was constructed by covalently introducing hydrophobic PPNI linkers onto GOx, enabling spontaneous self‐assembly into tunable nanoparticles. Mild crosslinking further stabilized the assemblies and enhanced catalytic performance and stability.

Engineering Antigen Density on M13 Bacteriophage for Personalized Nanovaccine
Increasing antigen density on the phage capsid impacts phage uptake and antigen cross‐presentation by antigen‐presenting cells, leading to enhanced activation of antitumor CD8+ T cells in the draining lymph nodes. These activated CD8+ T cells subsequently recognize the antigen‐expressing tumors and mediate their specific cytotoxic killing, thereby ...
