Rapid Shotgun Phosphoproteomics Analysis
In this chapter, we describe a rapid workflow for the shotgun global phosphoproteomics analysis. The strategy is based on the use of accelerated in-solution trypsin digestion under an ultrasonic field by high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) coupled to titanium dioxide (TiO2) selective phosphopeptide enrichment, fractionation by strong cation ...

The dynamic organization of fungal acetyl-CoA carboxylase [PDF]
Acetyl-CoA carboxylases (ACCs) catalyse the committed step in fatty-acid biosynthesis: the ATP-dependent carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA. They are important regulatory hubs for metabolic control and relevant drug targets for the treatment of ...

The Multifaceted Role of Rad9 in the DNA Damage Response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae
ABSTRACT To maintain the integrity of the genome, cells have evolved a complex signalling system, termed the DNA damage response (DDR), which detects DNA damage and promotes DNA repair. To date, over 600 proteins have been identified that play an integral role in the DDR. RAD9, encoding a DDR mediator protein, was the prototypical DNA damage checkpoint

Neurotransmitters Drive Combinatorial Multistate Postsynaptic Density Networks [PDF]
The mammalian postsynaptic density (PSD) comprises a complex collection of ~1100 proteins. Despite extensive knowledge of individual proteins, the overall organization of the PSD is poorly understood.

PDE4D and PDE3B orchestrate distinct cAMP microdomains in 3T3‐L1 adipocytes
Basal conditions: •Ins/PDE3B lowers cytoplasmic cAMP (cyt‐cAMP) without affecting plasma membrane cAMP (pm‐cAMP). •Insulin decreases lipid droplet cAMP (LD‐cAMP) independent of PDE3B. •FGF1/PDE4D modestly reduces both cyt‐ and pm‐cAMP, while PDE4D alone can modulate LD‐cAMP. ISO stimulation: •Ins/PDE3B has minimal impact on cyt‐cAMP.
