Alanine Aminotransferase, gamma-Glutamyltransferase, and Incident Diabetes [PDF]
OBJECTIVE - To estimate and compare associations of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT) with incident diabetes. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS - ALT and GGT were studied as determinants of diabetes in the British Women's ...

Characterization of human phosphoserine aminotransferase involved in the phosphorylated pathway of l-serine biosynthesis [PDF]
In the present study, we first report two forms of human phosphoserine aminotransferase (PSAT) cDNA (HsPSATα and HsPSATβ). HsPSATα has a predicted open reading frame comprising 324 amino acids, encoding a 35.2 kDa protein (PSATα), whereas HsPSATβ consists of an open reading frame comprising 370 amino acids that encodes a 40 kDa protein (PSATβ).

Chromatin Structures of the Rat Tyrosine Aminotransferase Gene Relate to the Function of Its cis-Acting Elements [PDF]
The relationship between DNase I-hypersensitive sites (HSs) and transcriptional enhancers of the rat tyrosine aminotransferase (TAT) gene was examined by comparing HSs in and around the TAT gene with the activity of the corresponding DNA sequences in ...

Parasitoid wasps deploy maternal and embryonic factors to reprogramme host physiology. Venom, calyx fluid, polydnaviruses, teratocytes and larval secretions act in a coordinated, compartmentalised manner. Host‐regulation factors are promising sources of insecticidal, antimicrobial and bioinspired translational molecules.
