Assessment of Germination of Plukenetia volubilis L. (SACHA INCHI)
Plukenetia volubilis L. is an Amazon species commonly known as sacha inchi, considered a high agro-industrial potential plant due to high nutritional values. Despite some published propagation studies of sacha inchi, to the best of our knowledge, there is little information about its dormancy especially in Malaysia.

The novel bioactive polysaccharide, Sacha inchi shell polysaccharide‐3 (SISP‐3), was isolated from the Sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) shell using anion exchange and gel filtration chromatography. This neutral polysaccharide fraction, characterized by a triple‐helix structure and a molecular weight of 17,684 Da, was successfully isolated.

Transcriptome analysis of Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) seeds at two developmental stages [PDF]
Abstract Background Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L., Euphorbiaceae) is a potential oilseed crop because the seeds of this plant are rich in unsaturated fatty acids (FAs). In particular, the fatty acid composition of its seed oil differs markedly in containing large quantities of α-linolenic acid (18C:3, a kind of
