Weight Cycling Deregulates Eating Behavior in Mice via the Induction of Durable Gut Dysbiosis
Weight cycling in Humans is suspected to dysregulate eating behavior. Mice submitted to body weight cycling by alternating western‐type and regular chow diets display increased hedonic appetite when exposed to a palatable diet, reminiscent of binge‐eating episodes.

Non- pncA Gene-Mutated but Pyrazinamide-Resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis: Why Is That? [PDF]
ABSTRACT Pyrazinamide (PZA) is a key component for the effective treatment of drug-susceptible and PZA-susceptible multidrug-resistant (MDR PZA-S ) tuberculosis (TB). pncA gene mutations are usually detected in a clear majority (>90%) of PZA-resistant strains but obviously not in

This research elucidates NAD+ biosynthesis in Streptococcus mutans, revealing reliance on the nicotinic acid salvage pathway and an incomplete PnuC–NadR route. SmNiaR, a nicotinic acid‐responsive transcriptional regulator, orchestrates the transcriptional regulation of this pathway.

pncA gene mutations in reporting pyrazinamide resistance among the MDR-TB suspects
Mutations in pncA gene contributing to PZA resistance was not clearly elucidated in China. To reveal the correlated mutations of pncA gene on pyrazinamide (PZA) resistance. 148 Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates were included from multi-drug resistant tuberculosis suspects.

This study converts bulk KFC powder into 2D nanoplatelets using a simple liquid‐phase exfoliation. These 2D nanoplatelets are mixed with carbon nanotubes to create porous, conductive, and robust electrodes with thicknesses reaching up to 105 µm. The KFC/SWCNT nanocomposite achieves an areal capacity of 0.65 mAh cm−2 at 20 mA g−1, with a retention of 92%

Tuberculous epididymitis caused by intravesical BCG therapy: a case report [PDF]

Identification, cloning, and expression of the Escherichia coli pyrazinamidase and nicotinamidase gene, pncA [PDF]
Pyrazinamide (PZA) is one of the three most important drugs for treatment of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections. The antibacterial activity of PZA requires a bacterial enzyme, pyrazinamidase (PZAase), which hydrolyzes PZA to form pyrazinoic acid and ammonia. Most PZA-resistant clinical M. tuberculosis isolates lack PZAase activity.

The Recent Development in the Diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) remains a major global health challenge due to slow, low‐sensitivity traditional diagnostics. Rapid, highly sensitive point‐of‐care tests are critical for timely diagnosis and treatment, reducing transmission. This study reviews the evolution of MTB diagnostic tests, emphasizing advancements and addressing accessibility
