Characterization ofpncAMutations of Pyrazinamide-ResistantMycobacterium tuberculosisin Korea [PDF]
Pyrazinamide (PZA) is one of the most important drugs for the treatment of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. However, the increasing frequency of PZA-resistant strains limits its effectiveness. In Korea, most PZA-resistant strains also exhibit both isoniazid and rifampin resistance making it essential to identify these resistant strains accurately ...

ANALISIS MUTASI GEN pncA DAN STRUKTUR PROTEINNYA UNTUK MENGUNGKAP DASAR RESISTENSI PIRAZINAMID PADA ISOLAT KLINIS Mycobacterium tuberculosis [PDF]

(E)‐N’‐benzylidenepyrazine‐2‐carbohydrazides with 2‐OH, 2,3‐diOH or 2,4‐diOH substitution exhibit good antimycobacterial or antiproliferative activity, and iron chelation similar to salicylaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone (SIH). A series of 33 (E)‐N’‐benzylidenepyrazine‐2‐carbohydrazides and their derivatives were synthesized and tested for biological ...

Exploring of pyrazinamidase recombinant activity from PZA-sensitive and resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) [PDF]
The mutations of pncA gene encoding pyrazinamidase/PZase in Mycobacterium tuberculosis are often associated with pyrazinamide/PZA resistance. The H and R1 isolates showed significant phenotypic differences to PZA.

Weight Cycling Deregulates Eating Behavior in Mice via the Induction of Durable Gut Dysbiosis
Weight cycling in Humans is suspected to dysregulate eating behavior. Mice submitted to body weight cycling by alternating western‐type and regular chow diets display increased hedonic appetite when exposed to a palatable diet, reminiscent of binge‐eating episodes.

What is it like, the event in which we become ourselves? What is its relationship to other kinds of event? And where might the event happen? When people say today that they “stand with” or that they are “allies,” they are challenging hierarchical notions

This research elucidates NAD+ biosynthesis in Streptococcus mutans, revealing reliance on the nicotinic acid salvage pathway and an incomplete PnuC–NadR route. SmNiaR, a nicotinic acid‐responsive transcriptional regulator, orchestrates the transcriptional regulation of this pathway.
