Chemical Probe for Imaging of Polo-like Kinase 4 and Centrioles [PDF]
Polo-like kinase (Plk4) is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that is essential for biogenesis of the centriole organelle and is enriched at centrioles. Herein, we introduce Cen-TCO, a chemical probe based on the Plk4 inhibitor centrinone, to image Plk4 and centrioles in live or fixed cultured human cells.

Polo-Like Kinase 4 (PLK4) Is Overexpressed in Central Nervous System Neuroblastoma (CNS-NB) [PDF]
Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid tumor in pediatrics, with rare occurrences of primary and metastatic tumors in the central nervous system (CNS).

Role for polo-like kinase 4 in mediation of cytokinesis [PDF]
SignificancePolo-like kinase 4 (PLK4), a known cell cycle regulatory protein, localizes to the centrosome during S-phase and facilitates centrosome duplication. We show that phospho-serine305-PLK4 is subsequently redistributed to kinetochores (metaphase and anaphase), midzone during cleavage furrow formation (anaphase and telophase), and midbody ...

Autoinhibition and relief mechanism for Polo-like kinase 4 [PDF]
SignificancePolo-like kinases (Plks) are a conserved family of enzymes that function as master regulators for the process of cell division. Among their duties, Plks control the assembly of centrosomes, tiny organelles that facilitate mitotic spindle assembly and maintain the fidelity of chromosome inheritance.

Polo-like kinase 4: the odd one out of the family [PDF]
Polo-like kinase 4 (PLK4) is a unique member of the Polo-like family of kinases that shares little homology with its siblings and has an essential role in centriole duplication.

Downregulation of polo-like kinase 4 in hepatocellular carcinoma associates with poor prognosis. [PDF]
Polo-like kinase 4 (PLK4), belonging to serine/threonine kinase family, is critical for centriole replication and cell cycle progression. PLK4 has been proposed as a tumor suppressor in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Anticancer effects of radiation therapy combined with Polo-Like Kinase 4 (PLK4) inhibitor CFI-400945 in triple negative breast cancer [PDF]
Development of novel multimodality radiotherapy treatments in metastatic breast cancer, especially in the most aggressive triple negative (TNBC) subtype, is of significant clinical interest. Here we show that a novel inhibitor of Polo-Like Kinase 4 (PLK4)

High expression of polo-like kinase 4 predicts worse progression-free survival in diffuse large B cell lymphoma patients treated with R-CHOP [PDF]
Background Polo-like kinase 4 (PLK4) has been shown to be a tumor-promoting factor with multiple impacts on cancer growth, invasiveness, and treatment sensitivity.

Tumor polo-like kinase 4 protein expression reflects lymphovascular invasion, higher Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage, and shortened survival in endometrial cancer patients who undergo surgical resection [PDF]
Background Polo-like kinase 4 (PLK4) serves as a marker for tumor features and poor outcomes in cancers. This study aimed to explore the associations of tumor PLK4 protein expression with tumor characteristics and survival in endometrial cancer (EC ...
