Unveiling Gut Homeostasis Disruption in Sepsis: Towards an Integrated Mechanistic and Translational Roadmap

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Elucidating the contribution of gut‐organ axes will provide new insights for developing combined therapeutic strategies against sepsis‐associated multiple organ dysfunction. ABSTRACT Sepsis, a life‐threatening clinical syndrome precipitated by a maladaptive host response to infection, is associated with substantial morbidity and high mortality rates ...

A Novel Method for Purification of Poly(ADP-Ribose) Downloaded from

open access: yes, 2020
A novel method for the purification of poly(ADP-ribose) was established. Calf thymus nuclei were incubated with NAD. After pronase digestion, DNA was isolated as a flocculent form by adding 1 M NaCl and 2 volumes of ethanol.

Immunological determination and size characterization of poly(ADP-ribose) synthesized in vitro and in vivo

open access: yes, 1999
Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase is a DNA break detecting enzyme playing a role in the surveillance of genome integrity. Poly(ADP-ribose) is synthesized rapidly and transiently from beta-NAD in response to DNA damaging agents.

Optimization of photobiomodulation therapy for spinal cord injury: A review

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy in the red and near‐infrared range can significantly modulate the secondary injury response and promote the reparative and regenerative potential of neural tissue after spinal cord injury (SCI). At present, due to the nature of delivery methods, the most effective dose and irradiance at the injury site to optimize ...

Deltex family E3 ligases specifically ubiquitinate the terminal ADP-ribose of poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation

open access: yes
Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) are critical to regulating cellular activities, such as the response to DNA damage and cell death. PARPs catalyze a reversible post-translational modification (PTM) in the form of mono- or poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. This
