Comparative Analysis of Antidiabetic Activities of Caesalpinia bonducella: Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Applications [PDF]

open access: yesResearch Journal of Pharmacognosy
Caesalpinia bonducella is traditionally used for glycemic control. Evidence from in vitro and animal studies has expanded over the last decade but remains fragmented. This review aimed to evaluate the antidiabetic effects of C.

Celector®: An Innovative Technology for Quality Control of Living Cells

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Among the in vitro and ex vivo models used to study human cancer biology, cancer cell lines are widely utilized. The standardization of a correct tumor model including the stage of in vitro testing would allow for the development of new high-efficiency ...

Preclinical developmental toxicity testing and advanced in-vitro stem cell based systems.

open access: yes, 2021
Therapeutic development and drug discovery processes are heavily challenged by delays in the preclinical experimental stages before being offered for Phase 1 clinical trials. Accelerating the preclinical phase via novel in-vitro systems is need of the hour to help provide effective therapeutics to cure diseases like cancer.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Preclinical Testing Techniques: Paving the Way for New Oncology Screening Approaches

open access: yes, 2023
Prior to clinical trials, preclinical testing of oncology drug candidates is performed by evaluating drug candidates with in vitro and in vivo platforms. For in vivo testing, animal models are used to evaluate the toxicity and efficacy of drug candidates.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Physical environment in non-ventilated culture vessels affects in vitro growth and morphogenesis of several cultivars of Dianthus Caryophyllus L. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Differences were shown in the environmental conditions inside four types of non-ventilated culture vessels (glass baby-food jars capped with metal steel or Magenta B-caps, jam glass jars capped with metal steel caps, and Magenta GA7 culture vessels) that

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
