Nicotinamide Reverses the Warburg Effect in CHO Cell Culture
Abstract The Warburg effect, the preferential conversion of glucose‐derived pyruvate to lactate despite available oxygen, is a key feature of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell culture. Lactate accumulation in recombinant protein‐producing cell culture is an inefficient usage of glucose, as well as being deleterious to cells.

Protein hydrolysates in cell culture: Toward multi‐omics characterization
While protein hydrolysates are widely used in cell culture applications, they remain undefined and variable products. Multi‐omic characterization evaluating composition and function can transition hydrolysates toward semi‐defined media components.

ABSTRACT Fluorouracil‐platinum(IV) prodrugs represent a novel class of multimechanistic chemotherapeutics with enhanced anticancer potential. The prodrugs PtIVP‐5FUMeOBut and PtIV56‐5FUMeOBut were actualized by derivatising the clinical drug 5‐fluorouracil (5FU) and coordinating it to platinum(IV) complexes, leveraging the established cytotoxicity of ...

This review highlights biocatalytic prenylation as a versatile strategy for tailoring the functional properties of peptides and proteins. By comparing branched isoprenoids with linear lipids, we illustrate how specific prenyl architectures modulate the behaviors of lipidated proteins within membrane environments.
