Carfilzomib is highly effective in the treatment of multiple myeloma, but it has been associated with cardiovascular adverse events that impact patient outcomes. Our prior global metabolomic analyses indicated an association between hydrophilic bile acids and carfilzomib‐cardiotoxicity risk, although a causal relationship remained to be determined ...

Introductory overview of purinergic signalling
Purinergic neurotransmission was proposed in 1972 following identification of adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) as the transmitter in non-adrenergic, non-cholinergic inhibitory nerves in guinea-pig taenia coli. Subsequently ATP was identified as a co-transmitter in sympathetic, parasympathetic and most nerves in the peripheral and central nervous systems.

Aspartame Increases the Risk of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma
Aspartame (APM) is a widely used artificial sweetener associated with various health concerns, including potential links to diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and an increased risk of cancer. A comprehensive approach incorporating data mining, machine learning, network toxicology, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, and clinical sample ...

Zebrafish pde6c mutants undergo photoreceptor degeneration from 5 dpf, but rods regenerate from 4 wpf. scRNA‐seq of retinal microglia reveals dynamic change of states between 5 dpf and 4 wpf. Two states emerge specifically during regeneration. ABSTRACT Microglia, brain‐resident immune cells, maintain brain homeostasis.

This thesis concerns purinergic signaling in renal epithelial cells of normal and polycystic kidneys. The first section discusses first principles of “purinergic signaling ” as they relate to the nephron and the urinary bladder.

Exploring The Role Of Purinergic Signaling In T Cell Activation [PDF]
Adenosine 5’ triphosphate (ATP) is a molecule central to life for its role as the cellular energy currency, and a purine nucleotide which serves as a building block of RNA.

CBD oil exhibits neuroprotective effects in Parkinson's disease models by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation. It preserves dopamine levels and reduces α‐synuclein accumulation, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic strategy against neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration.

Encephalopathy: Cause, Pathogenesis, and Treatment
Various encephalopathies (sepsis‐associated, hepatic, hypoxic–ischemic, diabetic, uremic, toxic) have incompletely elucidated pathogenesis, which severely restricts targeted therapy development. Small molecule drugs show unique multitarget potential but face toxicity, poor blood–brain barrier penetration and unclear specificity.

ABSTRACT Aims While many patients with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) improve by treating peripheral causes, a substantial proportion continue to experience symptoms despite apparently successful interventions. Central nervous system (CNS) mechanisms could potentially contribute to persisting symptoms after the initial peripheral cause has been ...
