A new family of phosphorescent Pt(II) complexes with pyrimidinedipyrrolide ligands, including a pyrazine analog, was designed and synthesized. Their emission properties can be finely tuned via ligand modification, revealing strong phosphorescence originating from intraligand charge transfer transitions.

Merging Micellar Catalysis and C–H Activation: Silver‐Free Direct Arylation of Fluoroarenes in Water
We have developed the first silver‐free protocol for a palladium‐catalyzed direct arylation in water under micellar conditions enabling the coupling of diverse pyridine and fluoroarene derivatives. This method combines the sustainability of aqueous media with the efficiency of C–H activation, obviating the need for organic co‐solvents or stoichiometric

Evaluation of Off-Flavor Development in Alpine Cheese Using Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) [PDF]
This thesis received a third place award in the Agricultural Sciences category at the 18th annual Denman Research Forum.A manufacturer of Alpine cheese has found that within three weeks of removing their product from vacuum packaging, off-flavors start ...

In this work, the synthesis and characterization of novel π‐extended phenazine diimides is reported. The derivatives undergo differential reduction to a dihydrophenazine or Meisenheimer form depending on the reaction conditions employed. The outcome of this work highlights the paramount importance of structural design in determining the nature of the ...

Durable Organic Anode Material With High Mass‐Loading for Proton Batteries
Indanthrone (IDT) was developed as a high‐mass‐loading anode material for durable proton batteries due to the formation of intramolecular hydrogen bonds that locking the rigid fused‐ring structure, enabling an ultra‐stable cycling performance over 20,000 cycles at a high mass loading of 8 mg cm−2.

Integrative metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses revealed the chemical and molecular basis of aroma divergence in fruits of three Isatis species. Distinct volatile profiles and 44 key aroma‐active compounds defined species‐specific sensory characteristics, while co‐expression analysis identified NAC transcription factors and lipid‐derived pathway ...

Frying Hilsa fish (Tenualosa ilisha) in mustard oil at 170°C–180°C for 3–6 min optimally balances sensory quality and nutritional retention. Prolonged frying progressively reduces moisture (68.5% → 41.4%), increases fat (12.3% → 27.3%), degrades EPA by 59%, and elevates lipid oxidation.

Small Molecule Inhibition of Mononegavirales RNA Polymerases
ABSTRACT The order Mononegavirales includes several non‐segmented negative‐sense RNA viruses that are significant human pathogens, whose transcription and replication depend on multifunctional RNA‐dependent RNA polymerase (L protein). Recent discoveries in cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) have elucidated the structures of these polymerases and their ...
