The Asymmetric Self‐Replicative Alkylation of N‐Arylaldimines Using Organolithium Reagents

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Here, we report a new asymmetric autoinductive reaction; the addition of nBuLi to N‐arylaldimines to form chiral lithium amides. The reaction proceeds with full conversion and complete transfer of chirality, representing the first example of an asymmetric autoinductive reaction with organolithium reagents.

Strain Release of 1‐Azabicyclo[1.1.0]butanes as a Gateway to Highly Functionalized Azetidines: New Strategies and Structural Motifs

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Over the past decade, the interest in azetidines has continuously risen, by virtue of their highly appealing pharmaceutical properties. Monocyclic, spirocyclic, and bridged azetidines can be accessed by leveraging 1‐azabicyclo[1.1.0]butanes as precursors.

Synergistic Action of Ascorbic Acid and Readily Accessible NHC^N Ligands for the Oxidation of Gold(I) With Electron‐Rich Aryldiazonium Salts

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The synergic action of ascorbic acid and NHC^N ligands enables Au(I) oxidation with electron‐rich aryldiazonium salts. ABSTRACT The synergistic action of ascorbic acid and NHC^N ligands enables the challenging oxidation of Au(I) with electron‐rich aryldiazonium salts in the absence of a cocatalyst and/or irradiation. EPR, NMR, and x‐ray analyses reveal

Heteroatom‐Doped Graphdiynes and Their Applications in Photo‐/Electro‐Catalytic CO2 Conversion

open access: yesCarbon Innovation, EarlyView.
This review highlights the versatile role of doped graphdiyne (GDY) in boosting CO2 conversion, where metal and non‐metal doping simultaneously tune the electronic structure, create abundant active sites, and improve charge separation, light harvesting, and CO2 adsorption.
