Ultra‐High‐Throughput Discovery of Multifunctional Polyphenolic Coatings on Droplet Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 39, 13 July 2026.
An ultra‐high‐throughput (UHT) combinatorial strategy enables the miniaturized synthesis and screening of ≈30 000 polyamine‐polyphenolic (PaPp) coatings using droplet microarrays (DMA). This approach reveals hundreds of previously unknown fluorescent, redox‐active, and antibacterial materials, including multifunctional, cell‐compatible surfaces ...

Dual Physiological Barriers Bypassed by a Silk‐Based Supramolecular Protein Delivery Platform for Neuroinflammation Mitigation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 38, 9 July 2026.
A supramolecular nanocomplex based on phenolic‐modified silk sericin is developed to deliver antioxidant enzymes across the blood–brain barrier and escape lysosomal degradation. This dual‐barrier‐crossing system reduces neuroinflammation and improves cognitive performance in Alzheimer's disease mouse model, offering a promising strategy for protein ...

Rapid Metabolic and Behavioral Maladaptations Following Short‐Term Obesogenic Diet Withdrawal During Postweaning Development in Male Wistar Rats

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
Postweaning male Wistar rats were fed a high‐sugar/high‐fat (HSHF) diet for 14 days, with or without a 48‐h withdrawal period followed by return to the control diet. Continued HSHF intake increased visceral adiposity, hepatic glycogen, and triacylglycerol accumulation, as well as systemic and central inflammatory markers.

Mitigation of Hepatic and Pancreatic Injury by Spondias tuberosa Extract Through Oxidative Enzyme Modulation and TGF‐β Downregulation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
Treatment with Spondias tuberosa extract ameliorated pancreatic and hepatic morphological damage in STZ‐induced diabetic rats, potentially by reducing oxidative stress and modulating profibrotic signaling mediated by TGF‐β. ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder marked by hyperglycemia due to impaired insulin secretion and/or ...
