Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

Objective/Background: Interferon (IFN)-γ-release assays (IGRAs) are designed for the diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) infection. The new IGRA called QuantiFERON-TB Plus (QFT-Plus) is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection of IFN-γ ...

ABSTRACT We propose a manifestly duality‐invariant, Lorentz‐invariant, and local action to describe quantum electrodynamics in the presence of magnetic monopoles that derives from Sen's formalism. By employing field strengths as the dynamical variables, rather than potentials, this formalism resolves longstanding ambiguities in prior frameworks.

We develop a basic‐principles model from an analytically tractable semi‐harmonic Hamiltonian and compare our predictions with experimental data for Cu, Al, Pb, Si, and Ge. The results are quite satisfactory, considering that there are no fitting parameters in our theory.

Tuberculosis (TB)-associated uveitis is a common cause of infectious uveitis in the developing world. Diagnosis of TB uveitis remains a challenge. The role of interferon gamma release assays (IGRAs) is uncertain.

Abstract Introduction Advanced HIV disease (AHD) remains a leading cause of mortality in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), driven by late diagnosis, treatment gaps and structural barriers, particularly among key populations and children. Persistent disparities in healthcare access, stigma, and limited health system capacity highlight the need for ...

We evaluated the performance of QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus), which includes two Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen formulations (TB1 and TB2), for detection of latent tuberculosis infection during pregnancy.

Background: The objectives were to estimate the prevalence of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) among household contacts (HHCs) with active TB patients, and to identify their risk factors.

Replica Wormholes and Quantum Hair
Abstract The recent applications of Euclidean path integrals to the black hole information problem are discussed. In calculations with replica wormholes as the next‐to‐leading order correction to the Gibbons–Hawking saddlepoint, the radiation density matrix approaches a pure state at late times, following the Page curve.

Background The diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection increasingly relies on interferon‐gamma release assay (IGRA) technologies. Despite their usefulness, inconsistency in IFN‐γ responses and the persistence of indeterminate results remain problematic across IGRA platforms.
