Radiofluorination of a highly potent ATM inhibitor as a potential PET imaging agent

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2022
Purpose Ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) is a key mediator of the DNA damage response, and several ATM inhibitors (ATMi) are currently undergoing early phase clinical trials for the treatment of cancer.

Isotopic Radiolabeling of the Antiretroviral Drug [18F]Dolutegravir for Pharmacokinetic PET Imaging

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2022
Deciphering the drug/virus/host interactions at infected cell reservoirs is a key leading to HIV-1 remission for which positron emission tomography (PET) imaging using radiolabeled antiretroviral (ARV) drugs is a powerful asset. Dolutegravir (DTG) is one

Synthesis and Radiosynthesis of Prospective 2-Nitroimidazole Hypoxia PET Tracers via Thiazolidine Ligation with 5-Fluorodeoxyribose (FDR)

open access: yesSynOpen, 2017
The first prospective fluorinated PET tracers for imaging hypoxia obtained via thiazolidine-ligation are reported. Three 1,2-thiol-amine linkers were combined with four different 2-nitroimidazole spacers via amide or urea bond formation.

Radiofluorination using aluminum-fluoride (Al18F) [PDF]

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2013
Targeted agents are increasingly used for treating cancer and other diseases, but patients may need to be carefully selected to maximize the potential for therapeutic benefit. One way to select patients is to bind an imaging radionuclide to a targeting agent of interest, so that its uptake in specific sites of disease can be visualized by positron ...

Arene Radiofluorination Enabled by Photoredox-Mediated Halide Interconversion [PDF]

open access: yesNature Chemistry, 2020
Abstract Positron emission tomography (PET) is a powerful imaging technology that could visualize and measure metabolic processes in vivo and/or obtain unique information about drug candidates at early stages. Identification of new and improved molecular probes plays a critical role in PET, but its progress is limited in many situations due to ...

A Comprehensive Review of Non-Covalent Radiofluorination Approaches Using Aluminum [18F]fluoride: Will [18F]AlF Replace 68Ga for Metal Chelate Labeling?

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Due to its ideal physical properties, fluorine-18 turns out to be a key radionuclide for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, for both preclinical and clinical applications.

Synthesis and Structural Study of Iodonium Ylides Derived From 2‐Iodosylbenzenesulfonic Acid: Reagents for Preparation of Annulated Thiazoles

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 32, 24 August 2026.
New ylides of two different types were prepared by reaction of 2‐iodosylbenzenesulfonic acid with the corresponding 1,3‐cyclohexanediones under acidic or basic conditions. These compounds have a typical for iodonium ylides structure with the CIC angles 94.18° –97.25° and the IC bond distances between 2.08 and 2.13 Å.

New Lyophilized Kit for Rapid Radiofluorination of Peptides [PDF]

open access: yesBioconjugate Chemistry, 2012
Radiolabeling compounds with positron-emitting radionuclides often involves a time-consuming, customized process. Herein, we report a simple lyophilized kit formulation for labeling peptides with (18)F, based on the aluminum-fluoride procedure. The prototype kit contains IMP485, a NODA (1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4-diacetate)-MPAA (methyl phenylacetic ...
