Initiation of RNA Polymerization and Polymerase Encapsidation by a Small dsRNA Virus. [PDF]
During the replication cycle of double-stranded (ds) RNA viruses, the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) replicates and transcribes the viral genome from within the viral capsid.

RdRp-based sensitive taxonomic classification of RNA viruses for metagenomic data [PDF]
Abstract With advances in library construction protocols and next-generation sequencing technologies, viral metagenomic sequencing has become the major source for novel virus discovery. Conducting taxonomic classification for metagenomic data is an important means to characterize the viral composition in the underlying samples.

• SARS‐CoV‐2 was detected in 2 cats out of 20 examined (10%). • SARS‐CoV‐2 was not detected in dog samples. • The two cats positive for SARS‐CoV‐2 had clinical signs and were in close contact with COVID‐19 positive owners. Abstract Objective The emergence of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection in dogs and cats in different countries worldwide raises concerns that ...

Tomato chlorosis virus, a promiscuous virus with multiple host plants and whitefly vectors
Tomato chlorosis virus (ToCV) is an emerging plant virus first identified in the mid‐1990s affecting tomato in Florida. Today, the virus is present in at least 39 countries and territories around the world. ToCV prevalence in tomato has been reported to frequently reach 100%, with a consequent loss in production. Although ToCV infects mainly tomato, it

Ribonucleoprotein transport in Negative Strand RNA viruses
The genome replication of Negative‐sense, single‐stranded RNA viruses most‐often segregate in membrane‐less environments called inclusion bodies (IBs). These “organelles” usually locate far from the cell surface from where new virions are released. Here, for each viral family, we discuss how the genome progeny is transported from the IBs to reach the ...

Adding a base to PET‐RAFT polymerization significantly enhances the reactivity of acidic CTAs with Zn‐based photocatalysts, enabling polymerization under low light intensity (0.25 mW cm−2). This approach outperforms traditional PET‐RAFT, which showed no conversion under the same conditions.
