Clinical Evaluation of Three Commercial RT-PCR Kits for Routine COVID-19 Diagnosis

open access: yesPathogens, 2022
Amongst the multiple ways to diagnose coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19), reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) remains the reference gold standard, providing fast and accurate results.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Determination of RNA stability using reverse transcription real-time PCR

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2008
The aim of this study was to verify an effect of RNA storage in different laboratory conditions. Especially, this work was focused on the importance of using diethylpyrocarbonate (DEPC) treated water for storage of isolated RNA.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Triplex Real-Time RT-PCR for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2

open access: yesEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2020
Most reverse transcription PCR protocols for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) include 2–3 targets for detection. We developed a triplex, real-time reverse transcription PCR for SARS-CoV-2 that maintained clinical performance ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

The development and application of the two real-time RT-PCR assays to detect the pathogen of HFMD. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Large-scale Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) outbreaks have frequently occurred in China since 2008, affecting more than one million children and causing several hundred children deaths every year. The pathogens of HFMD are mainly human enteroviruses

Evaluation of Rapid Antigen Test Results and Real-time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction for the Laboratory Diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2

open access: yesMediterranean Journal of Infection, Microbes and Antimicrobials, 2023
Introduction: Real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is the gold standard method for the diagnosis of Severe acute respiratory syndrome-Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Clinical Investigations. Comparison of Directigen Flu A+B with Real Time PCR in the Diagnosis of Influenza / Сравнение Иммунохроматографического Метода (Directigen Flu A+B) И Теста RT-PCR При Инфекциях Гриппа

open access: yesFolia Medica, 2015
Для ранней диагностики и лечения пациентов с гриппом нужны высокочувствительные диагностические тесты, применение которых не требует сложного лабораторного оборудования, а продолжительность проведения и читки реакции не превышает 15 минут.
