Selective chemokine receptor usage by central nervous system myeloid cells in CCR2-red fluorescent protein knock-in mice.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
BackgroundMonocyte subpopulations distinguished by differential expression of chemokine receptors CCR2 and CX3CR1 are difficult to track in vivo, partly due to lack of CCR2 reagents.Methodology/principal findingsWe created CCR2-red fluorescent protein ...

RBM10 Deficiency Promotes Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance in LUAD via STING Alternative Splicing‐Driven CCL7 Signaling and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RBM10 deficiency promotes anti‐PD‐1 resistance in lung adenocarcinoma by altering STING alternative splicing, which enhances CCL7 secretion and CCR2‐dependent M2 macrophage polarization. A positive feedback loop via mitochondrial transfer sustains this immunosuppression.

Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

CCR2 recruits monocytes to the lung, while CX3CR1 modulates positioning of CD11cpos cells in the lymph node during pulmonary tuberculosis

open access: yesmBio
Infection by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) continues to cause more than 1 million deaths annually, due to pathogen persistence in lung macrophages and dendritic cells derived from blood monocytes.

Engineered Carbon Dots from a Traditional Herb Pair Orchestrate Concurrent Antioxidant and AP‐1‐Mediated Inflammation to Attenuate Renal Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study integrates two complementary traditional Chinese medicine components as precursors to synthesize bioactive AM‐AS@CDs. Compared with single‐component CDs, these dual‐component CDs exhibit enhanced antioxidant capacity and superior renoprotective effects.

Temporal expression and cellular origin of CC chemokine receptors CCR1, CCR2 and CCR5 in the central nervous system: insight into mechanisms of MOG-induced EAE

open access: yesJournal of Neuroinflammation, 2007
Background The CC chemokine receptors CCR1, CCR2 and CCR5 are critical for the recruitment of mononuclear phagocytes to the central nervous system (CNS) in multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroinflammatory diseases.

PGK1 Suppresses CD8+ T Cell‐Mediated Antitumor Immunity Through CCL2/CCR2/Tumor‐Associated Macrophages Axis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PGK1 in tumor cells upregulates CCL2 expression through activation of the AKT/GSK‐3β/β‐catenin signaling axis, thereby promoting the recruitment and M2 polarization of TAMs and ultimately impairing the infiltration and activation of CD8+ T cells within the HCC tumor microenvironment. ABSTRACT Patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have a

A novel CCR2 antagonist inhibits atherogenesis in apoE deficient mice by achieving high receptor occupancy

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
CC Chemokine Receptor 2 (CCR2) and its endogenous ligand CCL2 are involved in a number of diseases, including atherosclerosis. Several CCR2 antagonists have been developed as potential therapeutic agents, however their in vivo clinical efficacy was ...

Chemokine CCL7 mediates trigeminal neuropathic pain CCR2/CCR3-ERK pathway in the trigeminal ganglion of mice

open access: yesMolecular Pain, 2023
Background Chemokine-mediated neuroinflammation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of neuropathic pain. The chemokine CC motif ligand 7 (CCL7) and its receptor CCR2 have been reported to contribute to neuropathic pain via astrocyte-microglial ...

A Dual‐Phase Exosomal Nanotherapy Enhances Continual Efferocytosis by Coordinating Checkpoint Inhibition and Metabolic Reprogramming in Atherosclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here we developed Am@SExo, a dual‐functional engineered exosome that coordinates CD47–SIRPα checkpoint blockade with Arg1 mRNA–mediated metabolic reprogramming. Surface SIRPα promotes recognition of apoptotic cells and plaque targeting, while Arg1 expression enhances arginine–ornithine metabolism, Rac1 activation, and actin remodeling in macrophages ...
