A model of the ternary complex of interleukin-10 with its soluble receptors [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Structural Biology, 2005
AbstractBackgroundInterleukin-10 (IL-10) is a cytokine whose main biological function is to suppress the immune response by induction of a signal(s) leading to inhibition of synthesis of a number of cytokines and their cellular receptors. Signal transduction is initiated upon formation of a ternary complex of IL-10 with two of its receptor chains, IL ...

Characterization and Potential Applications of Dog Natural Killer Cells in Cancer Immunotherapy. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Natural killer (NK) cells of the innate immune system are a key focus of research within the field of immuno-oncology based on their ability to recognize and eliminate malignant cells without prior sensitization or priming.

Polymorphisms of interleukin-10 and its receptor and lung function in COPD [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Respiratory Journal, 2007
Interleukin (IL)-10 is a type-2 T-helper cell cytokine with a broad spectrum of anti-inflammatory actions. Inflammation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It was hypothesised that single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the genes encoding IL-10 (IL10) and the α subunit of its receptor (IL10RA) are ...

Bispecific antibodies tethering innate receptors induce human tolerant-dendritic cells and regulatory T cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
There is an urgent need for alternative therapies targeting human dendritic cells (DCs) that could reverse inflammatory syndromes in many autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and organ transplantations.

The effect of lipopolysaccharide on the expression level of immunomodulatory and immunostimulatory factors of human amniotic epithelial cells

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2018
Objective Human amniotic epithelial cells (hAECs) are a novel source of stem cells and have immunomodulatory effects on both the innate and adoptive immune system.

Toll-Like Receptors 2, 4, and 7, Interferon-Gamma, Interleukin 10, and Programmed Death Ligand 1 Transcripts in Leishmanin Skin Test-Positive Reactions of Ibizan Hound Dogs

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, 2020
The leishmanin skin test (LST) is an in vivo technique commonly used to evaluate the Leishmania-specific cellular immune response in dogs. However, information regarding the local immune response in LST-positive reactions is scarce.

Oral antibody to interleukin-10 receptor 2, but not interleukin-10 receptor 1, as an effective Eimeria species immunotherapy in broiler chickens

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2019
Coccidiosis is a major gastrointestinal disease caused by several Eimeria species in floor raised chickens. Feeding an antibody to interleukin 10 (aIL-10) ameliorates the negative symptoms of coccidiosis in broilers, i.e., lack of weight gain, decreased feed conversion, and mortality.
