The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Role of thromboxane receptors in Forssman shock in guinea pigs
Forssman shock is a bronchospastic reaction mounted in guinea pigs on intravenous administration of an antiserum obtained from rabbits immunized against sheep erythrocytes.

The podoplanin-CLEC-2 axis is critical in mice for prevention of hemorrhage in the cerebral vasculature during mid-gestation. This raises the question as to how platelets are captured by podoplanin on neuroepithelial cells in a high shear environment. In

A microfluidic device with magnetic microposts was used to assess platelet mechanobiology. The oscillatory actuation of posts with embedded iron particles was dampened by the dynamic stiffening of the platelet‐rich plugs. This stiffening process increased with applied load, but inhibiting platelet activation (ASA) or myosin contractility (blebbistatin)

Thromboxane A2/endoperoxide receptors mediate cholinergic constriction of rabbit lung microvessels
Using an X-ray television system, we directly measured the internal diameter (ID; 100–1,000 microns) of small pulmonary arteries and analyzed the effects of cyclooxygenase inhibition and thromboxane A2/prostaglandin endoperoxide (TP) receptor blockade ...

Mechanistic Pathways of Wound Healing: From Hemostasis to Scar‐Free Regeneration
ABSTRACT Wound healing is the critical process regulated through a harmonious coordination of cellular, molecular, pathological, and systemic communications. Normally, healing occurs in four overlapping phases, which are modified and controlled by various growth factor interactions and signaling pathways.

Growth factors downregulate vascular smooth muscle thromboxane receptors independent of cell growth
Growth factors, in addition to being mitogenic, may modulate vascular smooth muscle differentiation. We tested whether serum or defined growth factors could regulate thromboxane A2 (TxA2) receptors in cultured rabbit aorta smooth muscle cells.

Emodin improves white matter remyelination and alleviates cognitive deficits through suppression of the RAGE/ROCK1 signaling pathway in VD rats. Mechanistically, it modulates the OL lineage by reducing the elevated proliferative response of OPCs while promoting their maturation and remyelination.

Modification of the rat uterine response to oestrogen and tamoxifen by thromboxane antagonists
The thromboxane receptor antagonists EP092, AH23848 and BM 13.505 were used to investigate the role of thromboxane in the uterotrophic response to oestradiol and tamoxifen.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of global morbidity and mortality, encompassing coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, and cerebrovascular disorders. The global burden of CVD continues to rise, driven by complex interactions among endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammation,
