Cyclin D-Cdk4,6 Drives Cell-Cycle Progression via the Retinoblastoma Protein's C-Terminal Helix. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The cyclin-dependent kinases Cdk4 and Cdk6 form complexes with D-type cyclins to drive cell proliferation. A well-known target of cyclin D-Cdk4,6 is the retinoblastoma protein Rb, which inhibits cell-cycle progression until its inactivation by ...

The Immune System [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Modern biotherapy has been in use for some 30 years. The first types of biotherapy were nonspecific stimulators of the immune response, but advances in genetic engineering are allowing the mass production of pure biological products which are now being ...

Plant retinoblastoma-associated proteins

open access: yes, 1997
The present invention is based on the isolation and characterization of a plant cell DNA sequence encoding for a retinoblastoma protein. Such finding is based on the structural and functional properties of the plant retinoblastoma protein as possible regulator of the cellular cycle, of the cellular growth and of the plant cellular differentiation.
