Retinoid X Receptor-Antagonistic Diazepinylbenzoic Acids.
Several dibenzodiazepine derivatives were identified as novel retinoid X receptor (RXR) antagonists on the basis of inhibitory activity on retinoid-induced cell differentiation of human promyelocytic leukemia cells HL-60 and transactivation assay using retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and RXRs in COS-1 cells.

Integrated single‐cell transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses reveal that MYC‐driven glycolysis activates the PI3K‐AKT‐FOXO1 pathway, disrupting Th17/Treg balance and promoting uveitis. MYC inhibition restores immune homeostasis and alleviates disease symptoms.

Retinoids have pleiotropic effects on embryonic development and are essential for spermatogenesis in the adult, where they act via nuclear retinoid receptors: retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and retinoid X receptors (RXRs). We used immunohistochemistry to

YTHDC1 Is Essential for Postnatal Liver Development and Homeostasis
This study identifies YTHDC1 as a key regulator of postnatal liver development and disease. Hepatocyte‐specific deletion of Ythdc1 impairs hepatocyte maturation, causing liver injury, contributing to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Retinoids have previously been shown to be crucial for normal spermatogenesis. The role of retinoic acid receptors has been studied, but relatively little is known about the function of retinoid X receptors (RXRs). To gain more insight in the function of

Diglycerides of Natural Phenols and Organic Acids for Enhanced Biological Activities
Diglycerides of natural organic acids and phenols were synthesized regio‐selectively. Diglycerides are structurally similar to cell membranes and are expected to exhibit cell affinity and permeability. The flexible glycerol linkers allow the diglycerides to exhibit not only the physiological activities of each constituent organic acid but also the ...

Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Liver X receptors (LXRs) form functional heterodimers with the retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and regulate cholesterol, lipid, and glucose metabolism. We demonstrated previously that activation of LXR modulates insulin secretion in MIN6 cells and pancreatic

Activation of the Retinoid X Receptor Suppresses Appetite in the Rat [PDF]
AbstractThe retinoid X receptor (RXR), a ubiquitously expressed intracellular receptor, regulates pathways controlling glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, and bile acid metabolism. In addition to its role in those metabolic pathways, we reported that RXR activation with a pan agonist [e.g.

Ubiquitination in cancer: mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities
Abstract Ubiquitination, a key post‐translational modification, plays an essential role in tumor biology by regulating fundamental cellular processes, such as metabolism and cell death. Additionally, it interacts with other post‐translational modifications, which are closely linked to tumorigenesis, tumor progression, the tumor microenvironment, and ...
