P-Rex1 and P-Rex2 RacGEFs and cancer [PDF]

open access: bronzeBiochemical Society Transactions, 2017
Phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate-dependent Rac exchanger (P-Rex) proteins are RacGEFs that are synergistically activated by phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate and Gβγ subunits of G-protein-coupled receptors. P-Rex1 and P-Rex2 share similar amino acid sequence homology, domain structure, and catalytic function.

Protein Kinase A (PKA) Type I Interacts with P-Rex1, a Rac Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor [PDF]

open access: hybridThe Journal of biological chemistry, 2016
Morphology of migrating cells is regulated by Rho GTPases and fine-tuned by protein interactions and phosphorylation. PKA affects cell migration potentially through spatiotemporal interactions with regulators of Rho GTPases. Here we show that the endogenous regulatory (R) subunit of type I PKA interacts with P-Rex1, a Rac guanine nucleotide exchange ...

Inexpensive protocol for single-cell X-chromosome inactivation analysis: Xist expression and H3K27me3 staining [PDF]

open access: yesПисьма в Вавиловский журнал генетики и селекции, 2022
The X-chromosome status is an important marker of mammalian cell embryonic differentiation. Both female X-chromosomes are transcriptionally active (Xa) at the blastocyst stage, then one of the X-chromosomes undergoes random inactivation (Xi).

P-Rex1 Cooperates With TGFβR2 to Drive Lung Fibroblast Migration in Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2021
Pulmonary fibrosis is a kind of interstitial lung disease with progressive pulmonary scar formation, leading to irreversible loss of lung functions. The TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway plays a key role in fibrogenic processes.

The Influence of Different Anatomical Sites on the Characteristics and Differentiation Capacity of Rabbit Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Med Int
Adipose tissue possesses great potential for regenerative therapy, making it an important source of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). However, studies regarding the characteristics of rabbit adipose‐derived MSCs (Rab‐ADMSCs) obtained from various anatomical areas remain limited. This study aims to investigate the influence of different anatomical sites of

REX-1 expression and p38 MAPK activation status can determine proliferation/differentiation fates in human mesenchymal stem cells. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
REX1/ZFP42 is a well-known embryonic stem cell (ESC) marker. However, the role of REX1, itself, is relatively unknown because the function of REX1 has only been reported in the differentiation of ESCs via STAT signaling pathways.

Demarcation of stable subpopulations within the pluripotent hESC compartment. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Heterogeneity is a feature of stem cell populations, resulting from innate cellular hierarchies that govern differentiation capability. How heterogeneity impacts human pluripotent stem cell populations is directly relevant to their efficacious use in ...
