Transcriptome and translatome profiling of Col-0 and grp7grp8 under ABA treatment in Arabidopsis

open access: yesScientific Data
Abscisic acid (ABA) is a crucial phytohormone that regulates plant growth and stress responses. While substantial knowledge exists about transcriptional regulation, the molecular mechanisms underlying ABA-triggered translational regulation remain unclear.

The how and why of lncRNA function: An innate immune perspective. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Next-generation sequencing has provided a more complete picture of the composition of the human transcriptome indicating that much of the "blueprint" is a vastness of poorly understood non-protein-coding transcripts.

RiboSeq.Org:resources for the alignment, analysis and exploration of ribo-seq data

open access: yes, 2016
The ribosome profiling (ribo-seq) technique uses high-throughput sequencing to reveal the global locations and densities of ribosome protected mRNA fragments. On RiboSeq.Org (http://riboseq.org/) we provide freely available resources to help researchers analyse and explore ribo-seq data without having to use command-line tools.

Astrocytic TIA1‐Mediated Stress Granules Promote the Demyelination of Optic Neuritis by Sequestering mRNA of Cholesterol Synthesis Genes in an Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 23, 23 April 2026.
Astrocytic TIA1‐mediated stress granules (SGs) promote demyelination by sequestering the mRNA of cholesterol synthesis genes. In this model, astrocytic TIA1‐mediated SGs were increased in the optic nerves of EAE mice, leading to the downregulation of cholesterol synthesis genes such as HMGCS1 through sequestration of their mRNA into SGs, which ...

TASEP modelling provides a parsimonious explanation for the ability of a single uORF to derepress translation during the integrated stress response [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Translation initiation is the rate-limiting step of protein synthesis that is downregulated during the Integrated Stress Response (ISR). Previously, we demonstrated that most human mRNAs that are resistant to this inhibition possess translated upstream ...

Maize Anther Development Involves Translated Open Reading Frames From 3′ Untranslated Regions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 23, 23 April 2026.
This study examined the translation activity across ten stages of maize anther development, integrating transcriptome and small‐peptide data. It linked mutations in translated 3' ORFs to anther sterility, exemplified by Zm00001eb417050_3' ORF (known as APV1). In addition, the data indicated that maize anthers could assimilate CO2 through the stomata in

Multi‐Tissue Omics Analysis Uncovers Translational Regulation Underlying Complex Traits in Pigs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 20, 9 April 2026.
Integrated multi‐omics across pig breeds and tissues reveals key principles of post‐transcriptional translational regulation and their contribution to trait formation. A gene network framework integrating transcriptomic and translatomic data is developed and applied to elucidate the genetic basis of meat production, offering new insights into mammalian

Hepatic‐Differentiated Subpopulation in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Multi‐Omics Analysis of Tumors With Lymphovascular Invasion

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2026.
A hepatic‐differentiated subpopulation is associated with lymphovascular invasion in clear cell renal cell carcinoma. A visual summary of the key findings from our multi‐omics analysis. The TITANIA framework enabled the identification of a hepatic‐differentiated ccRCC subpopulation characterized by the upregulation of liver‐like metabolic pathways and ...

Integrated multi‐regional multiomic profiling of breast phyllodes tumours reveals peritumoural immune activation and stromal remodelling

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
Malignant phyllodes tumours show markedly higher proliferative activity than benign and borderline tumours. Malignant phyllodes display an immune activated peritumoural region but an immune excluded tumour core. In malignant cases, a more pronounced immune segregation phenotype may be associated with a lower risk of recurrence.

PVT1‐104aa derived from the 8q24 gene desert promotes colorectal cancer tumorigenesis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
The schematic illustrates the dual oncogenic mechanism of circPVT1‐encoded PVT1‐104aa in CRC. First, MYC stabilization: (1) Direct binding to MYC; (2) phosphorylation of MYC at Ser62; (3) protection from GSK3β/FBW7‐mediated ubiquitination. Second, immunomodulation: (1) MYC‐dependent PD‐L1 upregulation; (2) enhanced therapeutic efficacy when combining ...
