Synthesis of [9.10-b]-Phenanthrofuran via Ring Expansion of a Dichlorocyclopropane
Base-induced elimination of the dichlorocarbene adduct 8 of 9-methoxyphenanthrene (7) give rise to the formation of the phe-nanthrofuran 9. A mechanism involving a cyclopropene-vinyl-carbene rearrangement (10-11) followed by intramolecular insertion ...

On the Mechanism of the Ring‐Expansion Polymerization of Thiiranes
AbstractRing polymers are synthesized using a cyclic bifunctional thioester as initiator for REP of thiiranes. PMT yields satisfactory results, whereas polymerization with MT appears to develop dead polymeric material as by‐product and TBMT gives only negligible conversion rates. The process produces high yields and high conversion rates.

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Ring-expansion cationic polymerization of vinyl ethers
Ring-expansion cationic polymerization of vinyl ethers with a hemiacetal ester-embedded cyclic initiator allows precise syntheses of ring-based architectures due to the controlled propagation as well as the monomer pendant design.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Ring Expansion of Bicyclic Ketones
Several methods of ring expansions are reported in the literature. Ring expansion by the diazoalkane and Tiffeneau Demjanov method are two of the more important methods. These ring expansion methods have been investigated from several points of view such

Blocking-cyclization technique for precise synthesis of cyclic polymers with regulated topology
Cyclic polymers can be usually accessed by ring-expansion and ring-closure approaches. Here, the authors report an alternative blocking-cyclization technique which enables the tunable synthesis of multicyclic polymers via commercial Ru-based Grubbs ...
