Long noncoding RNA turnover [PDF]

open access: yesBiochimie, 2015
Most RNAs transcribed in mammalian cells lack protein-coding sequences. Among them is a vast family of long (>200 nt) noncoding (lnc)RNAs. LncRNAs can modulate cellular protein expression patterns by influencing the transcription of many genes, the post-transcriptional fate of mRNAs and ncRNAs, and the turnover and localization of proteins.

Long Noncoding RNA Maternally Expressed Gene 3 Is Downregulated, and Its Insufficiency Correlates With Poor-Risk Stratification, Worse Treatment Response, as Well as Unfavorable Survival Data in Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2020
Objective: Our study aimed to investigate the correlation of long noncoding RNA maternally expressed gene 3 expression with clinical features, treatment response, and survival profiles in patients with acute myeloid leukemia. Methods: Bone marrow samples

Knockdown of lncRNA OGFRP1 Inhibits Proliferation and Invasion of JEG-3 Cells Via AKT/mTOR Pathway

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2020
Increasing evidence indicates the pivotal role of long noncoding RNAs in a variety of cancers, but there is limited focus on the link between long noncoding RNAs and gestational choriocarcinoma.

Long noncoding RNA study: Genome-wide approaches

open access: yesGenes and Diseases, 2023
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been confirmed to play a crucial role in various biological processes across several species. Though many efforts have been devoted to the expansion of the lncRNAs landscape, much about lncRNAs is still unknown due to ...

Long noncoding RNAs in hematopoiesis [PDF]

open access: yesF1000Research, 2016
Mammalian development is under tight control to ensure precise gene expression. Recent studies reveal a new layer of regulation of gene expression mediated by long noncoding RNAs. These transcripts are longer than 200nt that do not have functional protein coding capacity.

Long Noncoding RNA LUCAT1 Promotes Multiple Myeloma Cell Growth by Regulating the TGF-β Signaling Pathway

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2020
Objective: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are potential biomarkers for cancers. Nevertheless, the ability of long noncoding RNA lung cancer-associated transcript 1 in patients with multiple myeloma remains unknown. The purpose of this current study was to

Dysregulation of lncRNAs in circulation of patients with periodontitis: results of a pilot study

open access: yesBMC Oral Health, 2021
Background Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disorder with a complex etiology. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to affect pathoetiology of periodontitis.

KCNQ1OT1: An Oncogenic Long Noncoding RNA

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2021
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are transcripts greater than 200 nucleotides that do not code for proteins but regulate gene expression. Recent studies indicate that lncRNAs are involved in the modulation of biological functions in human disease.

Immunobiology of Long Noncoding RNAs [PDF]

open access: yesAnnual Review of Immunology, 2017
The discovery of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) has provided a new perspective on gene regulation in diverse biological contexts. lncRNAs are remarkably versatile molecules that interact with RNA, DNA, or proteins to promote or restrain the expression of protein-coding genes. Activation of immune cells is associated with dynamic changes in expression of

Panning for Long Noncoding RNAs [PDF]

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2013
The recent advent of high-throughput approaches has revealed widespread transcription of the human genome, leading to a new appreciation of transcription regulation, especially from noncoding regions. Distinct from most coding and small noncoding RNAs, long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are generally expressed at low levels, are less conserved and lack ...
