[Detection of rpoB gene mutations in Mycobacterium tuberculosis].

Fen zi xi bao sheng wu xue bao = Journal of molecular cell biology, 2009
ABSTRACT With Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv as a control, the mutations of rpoB gene from 37 Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates (18 rifampin-resistant strains and 19 rifampin-susceptible strains) have been detected by polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism(PCR-SSCP) under standard condition (no glycerol in gel ...

Overproduction of secondary metabolites in Photorhabdus noenieputensis through rpoB mutations

Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering
Specific mutations of the rpoB gene, which encodes the β subunit of bacterial RNA polymerase, can enhance the production of secondary metabolites in bacteria such as actinomycetes. Entomopathogenic bacteria Photorhabdus and Xenorhabdus species produce a variety of secondary metabolites.

[Detection of rpoB mutations in rifampicin-resistant Mycobacterium kansasii].

Kekkaku : [Tuberculosis], 2006
To detect rifampicin-resistant mutations in Mycobacterium kansasii (M. kansasii). We examined the M. kansasii isolates from sputum of patients at National Hospital Organization Kinki-chuo Chest Medical Center from January 1, 2001 to November 30, 2005 using drug-susceptibility testing, and analyzed 69-bp fragment of rpoB gene in rifampicin-resistant ...
