Schisandra chinensis lignans ameliorate hepatic inflammation and steatosis in methionine choline-deficient diet-fed mice by modulating the gut-liver axis.

Journal of Ethnopharmacology
ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE Schisandra chinensis is used as a traditional Chinese medicine to treat a variety of diseases. Schisandra chinensis lignans (SCL) are one of the most active components extracted from Schisandrae chinensis fructus, exhibit a

A new highly oxygenated nortriterpenoid from Schisandra chinensis

Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2011
A new highly oxygenated nortriterpenoid, 2β-hydroxy-micrandilactone C (1), and three related known triterpenoids (2-4) have been isolated from the leaves and stems of Schisandra chinensis. The structure of the new compound was elucidated by means of NMR and MS spectroscopic analyses.

[A new norsesquiterpenoid from Schisandra chinensis].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2022
This study investigated the chemical components from the leaves and stems of Schisandra chinensis. Three norsesquiterpenoids were isolated from S. chinensis by various column chromatographies(silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, and MCI), reversed-phase medium-pressure preparative, and semi-preparative high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).

Somatic embryogenesis in Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill.

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 2005
Regeneration of plants via somatic embryogenesis was achieved from zygotic embryo explants isolated from mature seeds of Schisandra chinensis. Merkle and Sommer's medium, fortified with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D; 9.04 μM) and zeatin (0.09 μM), was effective for induction of embryogenic callus.
