Monitoring genomic sequences during SELEX using high-throughput sequencing: neutral SELEX. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
BACKGROUND: SELEX is a well established in vitro selection tool to analyze the structure of ligand-binding nucleic acid sequences called aptamers. Genomic SELEX transforms SELEX into a tool to discover novel, genomically encoded RNA or DNA sequences ...

Click Capture SELEX for the Identification of Click‐Modified Aptamers Targeting Small Molecules in Solution [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 23, 16 June 2026.
Using kanamycin A as a model target, we developed click‐capture SELEX to identify nucleobase‐modified aptamers capable of binding small molecules in solution. This approach enables flexible incorporation of nucleobase modifications via CuAAC, allowing the chemical properties of the aptamer to be tailored to the target molecule.

Capture‐SELEX of DNA Aptamers for Highly Selective Binding of Folate [PDF]

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
Using capture‐SELEX, a DNA aptamer with sub‐micromolar affinity for folate was isolated, showing excellent selectivity. Using this aptamer, a light‐up fluorescent biosensor was developed for folate detection. Folate (vitamin B9) is an essential micronutrient for human health, particularly during pregnancy.

A Mathematical Analysis of Multiple-Target Selex

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Biology, 2010
SELEX (Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment) is a procedure by which a mixture of nucleic acids can be fractionated with the goal of identifying those with specific biochemical activities. One combines the mixture with a specific target molecule and then separates the target-NA complex from the resulting reactions.

Imaging the coupling of terahertz radiation to a high electron mobility transistor in the near-field [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2009
We used AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors as room-temperature direct detectors of radiation at 0.15 THz from a free electron laser, hence 5 times higher than their cutoff frequency of 30 GHz.

Libraries for genomic SELEX [PDF]

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 1997
An increasing number of proteins are being identified that regulate gene expression by binding specific nucleic acidsin vivo. A method termed genomic SELEX facilitates the rapid identification of networks of protein-nucleic acid interactions by identifying within the genomic sequences of an organism the highest affinity sites for any protein of the ...

Imaging of Neurite Network with an Anti-L1CAM Aptamer Generated by Neurite-SELEX

open access: yes, 2018
Neurite outgrowth is the critical step of nervous development. Molecular probes against neurites are essential for evaluation of the nervous system development, compound neurotoxicity, and drug efficacy on nerve regeneration.

Aptamers and antibodies: rivals or allies in cancer targeted therapy?

open access: yesExploration of Targeted Anti-tumor Therapy, 2021
The goal of an efficacious cancer therapy is to specifically target diseased cells at high accuracy while sparing normal, healthy cells. Over the past three decades, immunotherapy, based on the use of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) directed against tumor ...
