Prion‐Like Protein LENG8‐Mediated Nucleation Drives Stress Granule Assembly
Advanced Science, EarlyView.LENG8 is a newly identified stress granule (SG) nucleator required for SG assembly. Following stress, nuclear LENG8 granules disassemble, allowing LENG8 to translocate into the cytoplasm and form independent nucleation foci. These foci fuse with canonical early G3BP1/TIA1 seeds via LENG8‐TIA1 binding to drive SG maturation.

Histological Findings in Testes of Baboons (Papio spp.) and Dwarf Bucks (Capra hircus) Subject to Repeated Immunisation Against GnRH. [PDF]
Vet Med SciLong‐term repeated immunisation against GnRH resulted in the absence of active spermatogenesis and may lead to irreversible infertility in dwarf bucks and baboons. Histological examination revealed a marked reduction of the seminiferous tubular lumen, complete depletion of germ cells, germ cell vacuolization and tubular hyalinization.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.The findings establish a critical role for WFS1 in human male fertility. Mechanistically, WFS1 interacts with PIAS4 to promote the SUMOylation of key spermatogenesis‐associated proteins, which in turn competitively inhibits their K48‐linked ubiquitin‐mediated degradation during spermatogenesis.

Animal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.D‐limonene supplementation enhances testicular recovery following orchiopexy in a rat model of bilateral cryptorchidism. Treatment with D‐limonene reduces oxidative stress (↓MDA, ↑SOD, ↑GPx, ↑TAC), downregulates pro‐apoptotic proteins (↓TNF‐α, ↓BAX, ↓Caspase‐3), and upregulates anti‐apoptotic Bcl‐2 expression.
