Abstract Quality in early childhood education and care (ECEC) is a contested concept and has generally been conceptualised by inter‐related indicators such as staff qualifications, educational environment, policy or child‐to‐staff ratios. There has been a more limited emphasis on how young children might perceive and experience quality.

Effect of SHH interruption on cerebellar development
During development, disruptions in sonic hedgehog (SHH) signaling can lead to medulloblastoma, the most common malignant pediatric brain tumor. Medulloblastoma tumor cells arise from cerebellar granule neural progenitors (CGNPs), which rely on SHH ...

Neurovascular coupling in bone regeneration: Mechanisms, advanced biomaterials and challenges
This figure illustrates various material strategies for neurovascularized bone regeneration, including electroactive scaffolds, ion‐loaded materials, drug delivery systems, surface modifications, cells/cell products, growth factors, and peptides. These approaches aim to synergistically promote the regeneration of neural, vascular, and bone tissues ...

TCR signal strength is involved in many cell fate decisions in the T-cell lineage. Here, we show that transcriptional events induced by Hedgehog (Hh) signaling reduced TCR signal strength in mice.

Shh Treatment Preserves BBB permeability.
After establishment of pMCAO, rats were intracerebroventricularly injected 3 µL of PBS, 3 µg of Shh, and Shh (3 µg) plus cyclopamine (Cyc, 30 µg). The BBB permeability was detected by Evans Blue extravasation at indicated time points (1 d, 3 d, and 7 d).

Loss, persistence and reversal of phenotypic traits
ABSTRACT The irreversibility of complex trait loss has long been a tenet of evolutionary biology. However, this idea is increasingly at odds with the numerous documented exceptions across the Tree of Life. We synthesise this growing body of evidence across a diverse array of taxa and traits, exploring the evolutionary conditions that enable ...

Shh expression in vivo. In non-transfected group, Shh expression was not detected (A).
In the defects in Shh group, the repair tissues contained Shh protein proved by immunohistochemical staining 2 weeks after transplantation (B). In the negative control without primary antibody, Shh expression was not detected (data not shown).

Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

Identification of novel genes regulating the development of the palate
Abstract Background The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) has generated thousands of knockout mouse lines, many of which exhibit embryonic or perinatal lethality. Using micro‐computed tomography (micro‐CT), the IMPC has created and publicly released three‐dimensional image data sets of embryos from these lethal and subviable lines.
