Peroxodisulfate‐Enhanced Leaching of Deep‐Sea Manganese Crusts and Sulfides
Ammonium peroxodisulfate enables efficient leaching of deep‐sea manganese crusts and massive sulfides while offering electrolytic recycling. High leaching yields for V, Mn, Co, Mo, Sn, and W, along with complete leaching of As and Sb, highlight its potential as a powerful and sustainable oxidant for marine resource processing.

Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

The Therapeutic Potential of Purmorphamine Across Disease Models. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Purmorphamine (PUR) is a trisubstituted purine compound that selectively activates Smoothened receptor, thereby initiating Sonic Hedgehog (Shh) signalling—a pathway critical for embryonic patterning, neuronal specification and tissue regeneration across multiple organ systems. Dysregulation of Shh signalling has been implicated in degenerative

Shh critically mediates cholangiocyte differentiation.
A. Reduced Shh dosing reduces mRNA levels of CK7, CK19, and FN (++Shh = 100 ng/ml Shh administered for 8 days, +Shh = 100 ng/ml Shh administered for 4 days, -Shh = no Shh administration). B.

Abstract Background The notochord is a midline structure essential for vertebrate embryogenesis, contributing to the development of the nervous system, digestive tract, and vertebral column. In particular, notochord signaling is indispensable for proper patterning and coordinated development of alternating vertebrae and intervertebral discs (IVDs ...

Medulloblastoma: clinicopathological correlates of SHH, WNT, and non-SHH/WNT molecular subgroups
Medulloblastoma is heterogeneous, being characterized by molecular subgroups that demonstrate distinct gene expression profiles. Activation of the WNT or SHH signaling pathway characterizes two of these molecular subgroups, the former associated with low-

Cells in the developing limb escape a positive feedback loop by growing a nonresponsive barrier of cells. This timing mechanism that limits both limb size and digit number is described by Paul Scherz, Clifford Tabin (Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA), and colleagues.

Secretopathies emerge as a new class of neurocristopathies
Abstract Neural crest cells are a transient embryonic population of cells that give rise to a wide range of structures, including craniofacial cartilage and bone, peripheral neurons and glia, as well as components of the cardiac outflow tract, among others.
