DataSheet_1_[68Ga]Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9 Detects Pharmacodynamic Changes of FAP-Targeted IL2 Variant Immunotherapy in B16-FAP Melanoma Mice.pdf

open access: yes, 2022
Vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1) is an inflammation-inducible adhesion molecule, which supports contact between leukocytes and inflamed endothelium.

Regulation of Receptors Siglec-11 and Siglec-15 by MicroRNAs and their Overall Effect on Glioblastoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Introduction: Glioblastoma is a fast growing and aggressive type of brain tumour. It is the most common type of brain tumour in adults. Although there are developments in current therapies, patient outcomes remain poor.

Nanomaterials for Allergy Diagnosis and Treatment: Advances, Opportunities and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials offer dual applications in allergy management. For diagnosis, nanomaterials enhance analytical sensitivity and improve detection in specific IgE and functional assays such as the basophil activation test (BAT). For allergen‐specific immunotherapy, nanomaterials enable allergen masking and controlled release, and effectively modulate the ...

Siglec-15-induced autophagy promotes invasion and metastasis of human osteosarcoma cells by activating the epithelial–mesenchymal transition and Beclin-1/ATG14 pathway

open access: yesCell & Bioscience, 2022
Background Pulmonary metastasis is the main cause of poor prognosis in osteosarcoma. Sialic acid-bound immunoglobulin lectin 15 (Siglec-15) has been demonstrated to be obviously correlated with pulmonary metastasis in osteosarcoma patients.

Siglec-9, a Putative Immune Checkpoint Marker for Cancer Progression Across Multiple Cancer Types

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences, 2022
Siglec-9, a cell surface transmembrane receptor mainly expressed on B cells, CD56+ NK cells, and CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, is strongly related to the tumor immune microenvironment.

Macrophage PABPC4‐SPP1 Axis Orchestrates Immunosuppression in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the CRC microenvironment, macrophage PABPC4 binds to the 3′UTR of SPP1 mRNA to stabilize its expression, thereby sustaining M2‐like immunosuppressive macrophage polarization. Concurrently, this axis suppresses CD8+ T cell effector functions via CD44 signaling, collectively fostering an immunosuppressive niche that drives tumor progression.

Siglec-1 mediated phagocytosis of promastigotes in macrophages.

open access: yes, 2016
(A) Sias-siglec dependent phagocytosis was quantitated by flow cytometry. J774A.1 (1× 106/well) cells were grown in a six well plate, either left untreated or blocked with anti-siglec-1 antibody (10 μg/ml) for 1 hr.

Targeting myeloid checkpoint Siglec-10 reactivates antitumor immunity and improves anti-programmed cell death 1 efficacy in gastric cancer

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, 2023
Objective Immunotherapy has not yielded satisfactory therapeutic responses in gastric cancer (GC). However, targeting myeloid checkpoints holds promise for expanding the potential of immunotherapy.

Macrophage Trogocytosis of Tumor Cells Drives the Immunosuppression of Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Trogocytosis efficiency varies significantly among different tumor cells and is inversely related to their cortical stiffness; this efficiency dictates the extent of immunosuppression via upregulation of CXCL5 and Arg‐1, ultimately driving CD8+T cell exhaustion and tumor escape.

Role of macrophage sialoadhesin in host defense against the sialylated pathogen group B Streptococcus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Several bacterial pathogens decorate their surfaces with sialic acid (Sia) residues within cell wall components or capsular exopolysaccharides. Sialic acid expression can promote bacterial virulence by blocking complement activation or by engagement of ...
