System effects of single event upsets [PDF]

open access: yes7th Computers in Aerospace Conference, 1989
Single Event Upsets (SEUs) pose a serious threat to computer reliability and longevity. SEU effects are found at sea level, in airborne avionics, and in space. At the system level, SEUs in processors are controlled by replication and voting, watchdog processors, and tagged data schemes.

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Overview of software tools for modeling single event upsets in microelectronic devices

open access: yesБезопасность информационных технологий, 2016
The paper presents the results of the analysis of existing simulation tools for evaluation of single event upset susceptibility of microelectronic devices with deep sub-micron feature sizes. This simulation tools are meant to replace obsolete approach to

Effects of space radiation on electronic microcircuits [PDF]

open access: yes
The single event effects or phenomena (SEP), which so far have been observed as events falling on one or another of the SE classes: Single Event Upset (SEU), Single Event Latchup (SEL) and Single Event Burnout (SEB), are examined.

Failure rate calculation method for high power devices in space applications at low earth orbit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper discusses the universal calculation method for space proton induced failure rate on high power device. High energetic particles can be the reason of power device failure in both terrestrial and space.

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Heavy Ion Irradiation Fluence Dependence for Single-Event Upsets of NAND Flash Memory [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigated the single-event effect (SEE) susceptibility of the Micron 16 nm NAND flash, and found the single-event upset (SEU) cross section varied inversely with fluence. The SEU cross section decreased with increasing fluence.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
