A novel tri-functional antibody fusion protein with improved pharmacokinetic properties generated by fusing a bispecific single-chain diabody with an albumin-binding domain from streptococcal protein G [PDF]
The therapeutic application of small recombinant antibody molecules is often limited by a short serum half-life. In order to improve the pharmacokinetic properties, we have investigated a strategy utilizing fusion with an albumin-binding domain (ABD) from streptococcal protein G.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Study of protein structure by electron microscopy and single particle image processing [PDF]
The molecular assemblies form an important role in the understanding the machinery of living cells. These assemblies with thickness less than 1000nm and exhibiting different shapes, size and biochemical states are studied using Transmission Electron ...

A Novel Sequence in AP180 and CALM Promotes Efficient Clathrin Binding and Assembly. [PDF]
The clathrin heavy chain N-terminal domain interacts with endocytic adapter proteins via clathrin binding motifs to assemble clathrin triskelia into cages. However, the precise mechanism of clathrin assembly is not yet known.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

A Single Tyrosine Residue in the Membrane-proximal Domain of the Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-stimulating Factor, Interleukin (IL)-3, and IL-5 Receptor Common β-Chain Is Necessary and Sufficient for High Affinity Binding and Signaling by All Three Ligands [PDF]
The beta-chain of the granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukin-3 (IL-3), and interleukin-5 (IL-5) receptors functions as a communal receptor subunit and is often referred to as beta common (betac). Analogous to other shared receptor subunits including gp130 and the IL-2R gamma chain, betac mediates high affinity binding ...
