Structure of rabbit liver fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase at 2.3 Å resolution [PDF]
The three-dimensional structure of the R form of rabbit liver fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase (Fru-1,6-Pase; E.C. 3.1.3.11) has been determined by a combination of heavy-atom and molecular-replacement methods.

Abstract Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cells have shown potent clinical efficacy in the treatment of hematopoietic malignancies. However, much less has been achieved in solid tumors, in part due to the CAR-T cell exhaustion caused by inhibitory molecules in the tumor microenvironment.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

ssDNA accessibility of Rad51 is regulated by orchestrating multiple RPA dynamics
The eukaryotic single-stranded DNA (ssDNA)-binding protein Replication Protein A (RPA) plays a crucial role in various DNA metabolic pathways, including DNA replication and repair, by dynamically associating with ssDNA.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Genetic Removal of the CH1 Exon Enables the Production of Heavy Chain-Only IgG in Mice
Nano-antibodies possess great potential in many applications. However, they are naturally derived from heavy chain-only antibodies (HcAbs), which lack light chains and the CH1 domain, and are only found in camelids and sharks.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
