Grafted supports in solid-phase synthesis [PDF]

open access: bronzeBiopolymers, 2000
Solid-phase synthesis is greatly dependent on the solid phase. We are interested in the development of a "pellicular" type of solid support where a more mobile polymer is grafted to rigid plastics. Compared to low cross-linked microporous beads that dominate the field, this approach allows great flexibility of design, as plastics are available as ...

Crystal structure and conductivity of bismuth-containing complex oxides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the paper, a comprehensive systematic study of different classes of bismuth containing oxide compounds was carried out. The relationship between composition, temperature and concentration regions of existence of stable, specific structure and ...

Rad27/FEN1 prevents accumulation of Okazaki fragments and ribosomal DNA copy number changes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The budding yeast Rad27 is a structure‐specific endonuclease. Here, the authors reveal that Rad27 is crucial for maintaining the stability of the ribosomal RNA gene (rDNA) region. Rad27 deficiency leads to the accumulation of Okazaki fragments and changes in rDNA copy number.

Photolabile Linkers for Solid-Phase Synthesis [PDF]

open access: yesACS Combinatorial Science, 2018
Photolabile linkers are the subjects of intense research because they allow the release of the target molecule simply by irradiation. Photochemical release of synthesis products is often facilitated without additional reagents under mild reaction conditions, which may even be environmentally friendly and appealing in the context of greener chemistry ...

Solid-phase synthesis of recyclable diphosphine ligands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The authors thank the European Union (Marie Curie ITN SusPhos, Grant Agreement No. 317404 and COST action PhoSciNet cm08602) for financial support. An efficient solid-phase synthetic approach towards diphosphine ligands is demonstrated.

Targeting EZH2 reverses thyroid cell dedifferentiation and enhances iodide uptake in anaplastic thyroid cancer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) lacks iodide uptake ability due to MAPK activation increasing the expression of the histone methyltransferase EZH2, which represses thyroid differentiation genes (TDGs) such as the sodium iodide symporter (NIS). Dual inhibition of MAPK (U0126) and EZH2 (EPZ6438/Tazemetostat) reverses this mechanism, thus restoring TDG ...

Cross Metathesis Assisted Solid-Phase Synthesis of Glycopeptoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A solid-phase synthesis of glycopeptoids was explored through olefin cross metathesis (CM). Peptoids and sugar derivatives with appropriate olefin moieties were coupled in the presence of an olefin metathesis catalyst to afford glycopeptoids in good ...

Iron-stabilized nanocrystalline ZrO2 solid solutions: Synthesis by combustion and thermal stability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The synthesis of Fe3+-stabilized zirconia by the nitrate/urea combustion route was investigated. Using several characterization techniques, including X-ray diffraction, field-emission-gun scanning electron microscopy and notably Mo¨ ssbauer spectroscopy,
