ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

π‐Extended COUPY dyes, obtained by vinylogation of coumarin‐based COUPY scaffolds, shift absorption, and emission deep into the NIR region while preserving compactness and synthetic accessibility. These bright, photostable dyes enable live‐cell imaging, FLIM, and site‐specific peptide conjugation, offering a modular platform for targeted bioimaging and

Somatostatin receptors and disease: Role of receptor subtypes [PDF]
A variety of human neuroendocrine tumours express SSTR. The five recently cloned human SSTR subtypes have a distinct chromosomal localization and pharmacological profile, and a tissue-specific expression pattern which suggests a differential function of SSTR subtypes in different organ systems.

This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Somatostatin Receptor Subtype Expression in Patients with Acromegaly and Complicated Clinical Course
Somatostatin analogues are considered to be the first line of treatment in acromegaly. Somatostatin analogues of the first generation mainly target the somatostatin receptor (SSTR) subtype 2 and have been proven efficient in the majority of patients with
