Abstract Fluoride is the atmospheric pollutant with the highest phytotoxicity arising from aluminum smelting fertilizers, glass and, ceramic industry. The most affected plant organ is the leaf, in which the fluoride penetrates through two main ways: absorption by epidermis cuticle or absorption by stomata.

Microencapsulation of Red Mombin (Spondias Purpurea L.) Pulp using Spray-Drying [PDF]

This work was carried out to study the storage of dehydrated pulp of red mombin stored in polyethylene and laminated packages for 120 days at 25°C ± 2°C and relative humidity of 85 % ± 5%. Red mombin powder was obtained by drying a solution containing 90% of integral pulp and 10% of maltodextrin in a spray-dryer with air temperature of 120°C.

Neoscytalidium dimidiatum Associated With Canker Disease in Spondias mombin L. in Brazil

ABSTRACT In 2023, Cajá trees (Spondias mombin) exhibiting symptoms of canker and resinosis were collected from a commercial plantation in Teresina, Piauí, Brazil. Affected plants displayed small, irregular cankers on the trunks and branches, accompanied by abundant resin exudation, which coalesced into extensive necrotic lesions.

Patterns of Tree Species Abundance and Diversity on Urban Sidewalks in Macapá, Amapá, Brazil

En once arboles se marcaron ramas en cada punto cardinal y se contabilizo el número de frutos después del cuajado (marzo) y se dio seguimiento hasta la cosecha (septiembre) del porcentaje de frutos que permanecieron hasta esa fase.
