STAT6 Activation Exacerbates Ferroptosis in Airway Epithelium by Inhibiting PRKN‐Mediated Mitophagy in Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) remains a clinically intractable condition with limited therapies. Ferroptosis has emerged as a critical driver of PF. The previous study demonstrates that increased secretion of tissue plasminogen activator from ferroptotic ...

Proteolytic Processing of Stat6 Signaling in Mast Cells as a Negative Regulatory Mechanism

open access: yes, 2002
Accumulating evidence has shown the importance of Stat6-mediated signaling in allergic diseases. In this study, we show a novel regulatory mechanism of Stat6-mediated signaling in mast cells. When Stat6 is activated by interleukin (IL)-4 and translocated

Lung Cancer Brain Metastasis: Brain Microenvironmental Adaptation, Therapeutic Resistance and Translational Strategies

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer brain metastasis is shaped by dynamic crosstalk among tumor cells, the blood–brain barrier, glial and immune cells, neurons, and metabolic niches. This review integrates these mechanisms with therapeutic resistance, translational models, CNS delivery, and multidisciplinary treatment strategies.

STAT6 associated with mitochondria in MEFs derived from wildtype (wt) or STAT6SH2-/SH2- mice.

open access: yes, 2013
Panel A. MEFs derived from wt and STAT6SH2-/SH2- grown in 35–mm plates were washed using the digitonin-sucrose buffer and then immunostained for STAT6 and F1-ATPase. The cells were imaged using a 100x oil immersion objective.

Emerging Paediatric Uses of Dupilumab Beyond Approvals

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
Dupilumab, through IL‐4Rα blockade, shows promising efficacy beyond approved indications in paediatric diseases driven by T2 inflammation. Emerging evidence—mainly from small studies—supports improvements in disease severity and quality of life, highlighting its potential as a targeted, steroid‐sparing therapy while underscoring the need for ...

Olfactory Tuft Cells Are Critical to Basal Inflammation, Innate Immune Response to Viral Infection, and Modulation of Quiescent Stem Cell Activation, Proliferation and Differentiation

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Olfactory tuft cells communicate with other mucosal cells in maintaining olfactory epithelial immunity and sensory function. Disruption of tuft cell signalling pathways causes a skewed immune response, leading to heightened inflammation and increased activation of the quiescent stem cells, which are further exacerbated by viral infection.

STAT6、HMGA2在前列腺癌中的表达及与患者临床病理特征的相关性研究

open access: yesZhongguo shiyan zhenduanxue, 2023

STAT6 Immunohistochemistry: A Biomarker for Eosinophilic Esophagitis

open access: yesArchives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
Context.— Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, immune-mediated condition with overlapping histologic features with gastroesophageal reflux disease and other esophagitis subtypes. Current diagnostic criteria based on eosinophil density and basal zone hyperplasia lack specificity, necessitating more ...

Cytology‐First Diagnostic Workflow for Melanoma of Unknown Primary With Molecular Profiling

open access: yesCytopathology, EarlyView.
Cytology‑first diagnostic workflow for melanoma of unknown primary. Fine‑needle aspiration of an enlarged lymph node enables rapid cytologic evaluation and immunocytochemical confirmation of melanocytic lineage (SOX10). This early cytologic diagnosis facilitates timely surgical excision and comprehensive genomic profiling, supporting integrated ...

IL‐4/STAT6‐signaling Influences Local Inflammation and Regeneration Processes During Acute Pancreatitis and Promotes Fibrosis by a Direct Activation of Pancreatic Fibroblasts During Chronic Pancreatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science
In both acute and chronic pancreatitis, the local pancreatic immune response has a significant influence on the course of the disease. Utilizing a murine model deficient in STAT6, we demonstrate that the IL‐4/IL‐13/STAT6‐signaling pathway, which is a ...
